As a woman myself, I don't have a personal problem with it but I think it IS disrespectful to the people around you. Breastfeeding can be done in private, letting it all hang out in public isn't respectful and usually attention-mongering, like this. If a man can't whip it out and pee in public, a woman should have the respect for others to not breastfeed in public (where younger people may see and people who just DON'T want to see your goods). It's funny how some women are standing up for this, but they'd freak out if a man pulled it out for a legit reason (peeing).
A real lady and Mother can feed her baby properly without making it a public event. Whatever happened to an appreciation for maintaining one's privacy? Breastfeeding is something that is between Mother and child--without turning it into a peepshow for the public. This whole "let it all hang out/in your face concept is getting old! Let's hope at least most Moms have some common sense with all this!
As an Active duty NCO I am appalled by this I am going to start wearing sneakers and puttin my hat on backwards now as well because it's what I want to do in uniform. People always taking advantage.. instead of making this two the "breastfeeding hero's" give them a LOC because of improper wear of the uniform!!
As a mother and an active duty service member(7yr) I think its great. There are many of us out there that breast feed our babies in public. I don't see anything wrong with it. Any where a baby is allowed to be bottle fded a mother can nurse. If you don't like it don't look. As far a the uniform goes there are people that do far worse in uniform.
I think its so stupid that people are taking offense to this!?! I mean come on....when a baby is hungry....a baby is hungry!!! So they are in uniform....who fuck n cares!!! Its not a disgrace to our country because they are making the CHOICE to breastfeed....thats what mothers are supposed to do....its called LIFE...@ least they are employed N contribute something to society....everyone needs to get over themselves N stop being so fuck n retarded!!!
