Metta World Peace Tweets Memorial Day Love

Metta World Peace, the slightly-unhinged NBA player formerly known as Ron Artest, fired off what was clearly the best Memorial Day tweet ever yesterday:

Minutes later, he deleted this and replaced it with, "Happy memorial day ... I was still sleep :))) Bout to fire up the grill.. Shout out to the veterans!!!!!!!!!"

Hours later, with people still giving him a hard time, he wrote:

"Hey, it's not Labor Day... Enough... I partied like three rockstars yesterday.... Woke so twisted I thought I was labor day...Mistake.move on."

The coolest thing about all this? Metta spent the next few hours re-Tweeting messages from fans about what Memorial Day means to them.
