I will support Manny to the end in the issue of gay marriage. but it doesn't mean that I hate gays & lesbians. God give us free will to choose what is right or wrong and Manny has chosen the right path in my opinion. Even in the early days of Christianity this issue has already started and most Christians knows that the consequence is death not physically but death to your persona, death to your ambitions in most cases and most importantly death to your relationship to God. However, because of God's unconditional love you can still be alive and forgiven if you repent and sincerely ask forgiveness. You can't just accept what you believe is wrong and especially in the eyes of God. I challenge the Gays and Lesbians do you support Gay marriage? I doubt it, because this people have fear in God as well just like Manny is.
uhhhm, i was so surprised by those backlash against Manny Pacquiao just because of his stand on same sex marriage. It seems that by expressing one's opinion on a certain issue like this will stir the glass full of water. if you analyze deeper his answer to the question, you will find out that he only quoted the words of God in the bible. see, he only encourage us to follow the words of God. no more no less. and this writer, Ampong, i believe is a pachater (jealous person), he added something to what Pacquiao answered in his question and tried very hard to shatter the image of Pacquiao.
Question: "What does the Bible say about gay marriage / same sex marriage?"
Answer: While the Bible does address homosexuality, it does not explicitly mention gay marriage/same-sex marriage. It is clear, however, that the Bible condemns homosexuality as an immoral and unnatural sin. Leviticus 18:22 identifies homosexual sex as an abomination, a detestable sin. Romans 1:26-27 declares homosexual desires and actions to be shameful, unnatural, lustful, and indecent. First Corinthians 6:9 states that homosexuals are unrighteous and will not inherit the kingdom of God. Since both homosexual desires and actions are condemned in the Bible, it is clear that homosexuals “marrying†is not God’s will, and would be, in fact, sinful.
There's nothing wrong with Pacquiao'a comment.Reactions of some guys is over-acted , pathetic and onesided . He is not against gay ... however Pacman did not favored the gay marriage. Everybody has the right to speak as to the right to live as a gay or a lesbian , homo ,etc . This issue has been brought out by Granville Ampong ,an american with filipino descent , it seems that he's been an "ANTI- PACMAN" most of the time ( read his columns /article at examiner.com ) . As you see those thin-razor win of Pacman has been criticized by this guy & always believed that Pacman lost the fight.... I guess , it's time to go and search with his previous articles at examiner.com and you'll find out the way he criticized , and write something against Pacquiao ....
Pacquiao is right because if he will say gay marriage is allowed he is against what the bible says. Because the bible also says that truth will set us free.
