Lifetime Picks Up Whitney Houston Family Reality Show

The network just released a press release that promotes The Houston Family Chronicles (working title), a docu-series that will follow around the lives of Pat Houston (pictured); Whitney’s sister-in-law and manager; Pat’s daughter, Rayah; Whitney’s brother Gary; daughter Bobbi Kristina and mother Cissy Houston.
Says Rob Sharenow, Executive Vice President, Programming, of Lifetime Networks:
“The tragic loss of Whitney Houston left a void in the hearts of people all over the world, but certainly none more so than her beloved family. In this series, the multi-generations of the Houston family will bravely reveal their lives as they bond together to heal, love, and grow.”
Pat Houston, meanwhile, says she's been in discussion with the network for awhile, though the Whitney passing "certainly affects the direction of the show" and adds: "However, it is my hope that others will be enlightened as they watch our family heal and move forward.”

as much as I love whitney and christina and the mother that black ugly as pimp named pat huston is behind all of mess.I saw strait through her ass on ophra . this show should feature christina and cissy houston only. thats all we all care about.not you pat or that big ugly monstrusity of a daughter you have that you think people want to hear. you see how ophrah cut you right off when you thought you were going to talk about the girls singing. go somewhere and get your own life now because whitney is gone now.

i understand she was a great artist but she was a crack head she over dose and died her family now comes out with show to further living off her money now that she bit the big one with family like that i see why drugs seem so appealing it seem as if this family would go as far as to put a camara in with her six feet under just to make a penny or two Good Job life time when your not showing some poor women getting raped of beat or teenager getting knocked up your pofiting off some one death
I'm actually SHOCKED that Cissy Houston who by all accounts has been very silent about her daughter's death with the exception of one interview would be on board with this. Who wants to watch Pat Houston, Whitney's brother Gary week after week? Really? Yes, Whitney's passing did leave a void BUT we don't need to see the Houston family grief played out. Can we say DOLLARS? Who's idea was this anyway? I bet Pat Houston came up with this. Just let Whitney rest is peace. The idea that this will somehow develop a singing career for Bobbi Kristina is ludicrous. Her mother after all was Whitney Houston. If Bobbi K has so much talent then I'm sure there are many people in the music business who would help launch a career. Let me go on the record and predict this will be a flop. Yes, we'll tune in to the first episode out of curiosity but I see no appeal. I'm so tired of people cashing in. Where do we draw the line?
