Lane Garrison has just been legally ordered to stay away from his ex-girlfriend, Ashley Mattingly, which should not be a huge issue as he’s in jail.

The actor allegedly slapped Ashley in the face last month during a argument at her apartment building, leading to his arrest for battery last month.

He’s will plead not guilty to misdemeanor domestic violence at his court hearing, which was pushed back due to questions regarding his parole status.

Lane is currently on parole stemming from his 2007 vehicular manslaughter conviction, and has remained in custody on a parole hold since his arrest.

Lane’s parole was supposed to end last Saturday, but his arrest may jeopardize that. The judge conditionally set bail at $50,000 for the troubled star.

He maintains he was only trying to grab his phone (see Lane Garrison surveillance video) and that he never actually hit is ex. Police aren’t buying it.

His arraignment has been rescheduled for Friday.
