Lady Gaga: Banned in Indonesia!

Indonesia's Little Monsters, revolt!

Lady Gaga, who is scheduled to perform in Jakarta next month, has just been banned by the nation following protests from hardline Islamic critics.

The concert drew vehement opposition from many in the world's most populous Muslim nation, due to her controversial persona and racy getups.

A spokesman for the Indonesian national police has confirmed that the singer has been denied a permit for her June 3 show, thus negging the show.

It would have been the biggest stop on her Asian tour, having been set to take place at the 52,000-seat Gelora Bung Karno stadium in Jakarta.

The Islamic Defenders Front trashed the global pop superstar for her "Satanic lyrics" that threaten to "destroy the children's sense of morality."

Other protesters, equally enraged, even vowed to physically block the singer from setting foot on Indonesian soil if the show wasn't cancelled.

Local law enforcement reportedly requested that the permit be denied after fearing that officers wouldn't able to contain a massive on-site protest.

Earlier this spring, Gaga's tour drew protests from South Korean Christian groups decrying that her "pornographic" performances promoted homosexuality.

No word if the Lady Gaga hermaphrodite rumors also make the protesters uneasy, or if they're even allowed to read such things on the Internet.

PS Is anyone really surprised???? In case you didn't realize it...we've got the "King of Cronyism" residing at 1600 Pennsylvania Avenue.

What a backward, repressive and disgusting country! It's not just Lady Gaga that they object but also women's right and gay rights! Pull out all investments out of Indonesia!

I think anyone goes at their own risk. Personally I love lady gaga, and for that does not mean I look at the bad things, in fact I see her as a successful woman in the industry of music, wether YOU! mother and father like it, or not, you guys have to admit it. I concider myself small minded as well, thats why most of the time I mind my own business. Whenever I don't like something I just change the channel or switch stations. Have a nice day.

Kudos to the Indonesians! Somebody had to stand up for moral values...America only stumbles around with it! Tragic!

Jakarta wrote a final act for Lady that included stoning. I'm shocked they warned her. Glad they did.

@ A Mother-I call it a preventative measure! I really don't have time to clean up an emotional mess with kids! I'm to busy paying taxes to the " ENTITLED" so they can continue to create a mess! RIGHTS Rights! WHERE ARE MY RIGHTS!

Love it! She's banned in my home as well! It's nice to see people who still have standards and morals. It's not about being "small minded" it's about teaching the standards that started this country. Which was doing quite well until the "open minded" started pushing for CHANGE!

Out of everything going on in this world, they want to start more pointless crap. Makes no sense to me to be honest. Small-minded people had alot of play in what isn't improving. If people would worry about more important things, maybe this planet wouldn't be as bad as it is. Its music, not to be taken to heart. Lady Gaga doesn't have anything to worry about she has millions of fans. My girls and I included. Keep rocking mother monster!! :)

That's interesting! She's banned in my House as well!
