OMG! I had to stop reading on because as usual ppl always hate on others and always have reasons for their favorite not winning like using the race card. I can not understand why people cannot be happy for the winner and it might not be your favorite obviously but proven votes are that Phillip was the favorite! I on the other hand was a big Joshua fan since he was the only singer that gave me the chills and that deep heart and soul feeling. That is my preference and as Americans we all have different likes and dislikes especially when it comes to music. So, if you can't be happy with the results don't use your threats on not watching the show any more, just don't watch cuz really it doesn't affect if you watch or don't. In fact, life would much better with one less hater who refers to "the white boy" as winning - REALLY?!?
Phillip is one of my favorite contestants ever on AI. He's uniquely talented, to be a bit redundant, he's really one of a kind. There are many Jessica's out there but only one Phillip.

personally, if it would have came down with jessica and joshua it would have been a SINGING COMPETITION. but it didn't. so for my own opinion jessica is way better than phillip but it is called American IDol. It's not too much of a shocker that PIhilip won.
btw i was rooting for jessica :DD i'm a filipina :DD
Brooke White's tears come from the authentic, good soul that she is. Her heart was breaking because she was overwhelmed with the experience she had with the show and the gift that it brought.
