Brooke White's tears come from the authentic, good soul that she is. Her heart was breaking because she was overwhelmed with the experience she had with the show and the gift that it brought.

what kind of a contest is this if phillips wins. I do not know the reason as to why the judges gave him a standing ovation .. . c'mon he is out of tune . . and he is a clone of matthews .. open ur eyes and ears . . .jessica is a far better singer than he is . . he looks dirty on screen as if he hasn't taken a bath for weeks . .
I disagree with what jill4short is saying about filipinos looks like monkeys..maybe you're the one who look like monkey and for sure Jessica will win because she the all the guts and talents to show...why just say good words to anybody. It only reflects how bad your personality if you say something bad....be real or you're just envy with jessica, coz for sure you got no talent
Both singers were great bit I support Phillp
Everybody has an opinion OMG....Well, here is mine: Idol is not about the contestants this year. Both Phillip and Jessica are great. Phillip's originalty gives him an edge in not just winning but being more successful in music. But the real question is: When is Idol going to invest in some real judges? When are the judges going to be concerned with the Idol process instead of furthering their careers (i.e. J-Lo)? I mean seriously, Did J-Lo join Idol just to have a huge platform to introduce another lousy single? And Steven Tyler is great but Idol needs someone not pull any punches and love everything on the stage. As Idol goes on without Simon, Randy falls more and more to that. My opinion is J-Lo can find another show to shake her ass on. Also, the show needs a honest judge, How about Jimmy? His comments are the only ones I listen to. The judges' commentary usually gets muted or fast-forwarded. Idol is getting really old and it may be time to let it go.
I thought philp should have gone weeks ago This is a singing contest. I still can't believe scotty won last year. I see guys as good as Philp in bars all the time. I bet no one is as surprised he's in the finally as he himself is.
