Simply put, Robert Pattinson does not sparkle in Bel Ami. He seduces.

The Twilight Saga stud might frighten his fans a bit in the upcoming drama, in which he portrays  Georges Duroy, an aspiring power player/former solder in late 19th century Paris who sleeps his way to the top of society by bedding wealthy women played by Christina Ricci, Uma Thurman and Kristin Scott Thomas.

We know, we know: how lucky are Christina Ricci, Uma Thurman and Kristin Scott Thomas?!?

The film opens in the U.S. on June 8. Following the earlier release of an international Bel Ami trailer, we now encourage fans to check out the domestic version:

With the just-announced renewal of The Late Show through 2014, David Letterman is set to become the longest-running late-night host in TV history.

Letterman and Craig Ferguson both renewed contracts with CBS. Letterman’s Late Show and Ferguson’s Late Late Show will remain air through 2014.

Letterman has weathered a sex scandal, Sarah Palin, Rosie O'Donnell, and accusations of mailing it in to become a TV institution of incredible longevity.

Dave launched his career with NBC's Late Night in 1982. With this new deal, he’ll surpass Johnny Carson’s record of 30 years hosting a late night talk show.

Said CBS entertainment president Nina Tassler:

“David Letterman is a late night legend with an iconic show and Craig Ferguson continues to evolve the genre in exciting and innovative ways.”

“These new agreements deliver ongoing high-quality entertainment for our audience and continued strength and stability for CBS in late night.”

Season to date, Letterman is averaging 3.3 million viewers and a 0.9 rating among adults 18-49, compared to rival Jay Leno’s 3.7 / 0.9 rating.

Dave never got Conan fired though. Just saying.

In the wake of the Trayvon Martin case an his own experiences, Tyler Perry has called for federal agents to take racial profiling seriously as a potential hate crime.

The Good Deeds director took to Facebook to discuss Martin, who was shot and killed in Florida in February by neighborhood watch captain George Zimmerman.

Moreover, Perry alleges he was pulled over in L.A. late one night for an illegal turn, reprimanded for having tinted windows, and realized he was in big trouble.

Tyler Perry writes on his official page:

“My mother would always say to me, ‘if you get stopped by the police, especially if they are white policemen, you say ‘yes sir’ and ‘no sir’, and if they want to take you in, you go with them. Don’t resist, you hear me?"

"Don’t make any quick moves, don’t run, just go.’ It wasn’t until after I heard her voice that I realized that both officers were white… I didn’t feel safe at all."

"At this point, I told him (the arresting officer) that I wanted to get out of the car. I wanted the passersby to see what was happening.”

However, once a black officer pulled up at the scene and recognized Perry, the officials apologized and let him go. But the incident has stayed with him.

The entire field did superbly on Dancing With the Stars last night, with every pairing within five points of the lead and five tied for the lowest score - a respectable 24.

The downside? The entire field is basically at risk tonight. Somebody's going home who probably doesn't deserve it, but that's the way it goes.

If we had to guess, Katherine Jenkins, William Levy, Jaleel White, Donald Driver and Maria Menounos look safe. The rest? It's anybody's guess.

The bottom half of the DWTS scores from Monday night:

  • Roshon Fegan & Chelsie Hightower: 25
  • Gladys Knight & Tristan MacManus: 24
  • Melissa Gilbert & Maks Chmerkovskiy: 24
  • Sherri Shepherd & Val Chmerkovskiy: 24
  • Jack Wagner & Anna Trebunskaya: 24
  • Gavin DeGraw & Karina Smirnoff: 24

Who do you think is most at risk? Check out Sherri's performance above and see the remaining five below and tell us who you think should stay - or go:

Note to future celebrities asked to present at an awards ceremony: do not make fun of the stars and the industry honored at said ceremony.

This may seem like common sense to most, but not to someone who needs to hire a management team to oversee his Tweets. Yes, we're looking at you, Ashton Kutcher.

Ashton Kutcher at the ACMs

For some reason, the actor took to the stage at Sunday's Academy of Country Music Awards and handed out the Female Vocalist of the Year trophy to Miranda Lambert… while donning an oversized cowboy hat and painfully singing a few bars of George Strait's "I Cross My Heart."

"Was Ashton Kutcher making fun of country or is it just me? Watching it back now and I'm kinda wondering?" Lambert Tweeted last night in response to Kutcher's shenanigans, while singer Justin Moore didn't have to wonder:

"Seen Ashton kutcher at the acms tonight. What a douche! I don't care for people making a mockery of the way country artists' dress."

Sources also tell Us Weekly that Kutcher was rude backstage and at the afterparty, continuing to wear his silly garb and wandering around with a "with a massive posse." Clearly, no one in that posse has actually watched Two and a Half Men.

Yes, Kourtney Kardashian dyed her hair a couple weeks ago. And, yes, she's pregnant with a girl.

But, no, despite the criticism Kourtney thinks she's been getting, this decision was not an irresponsible one. She explains why in a new blog entry.

I "followed all of the guidelines from my doctor and took the proper precautions necessary," Kourtney wrote yesterday. "I highlighted my hair, which is considered the safest form of hair color while pregnant, and not to the root, so nothing ever touched my scalp. I also used products that did not contain any ammonia."

Kourtney Kardashia with Dyed Hair

In Kourtney's defense, she has no way of making money aside from coloring her hair, posing in a bikini, fabricating tabloid stories, etc. So she really did make this move with the best interests of her child in mind.

Saying she thought it was "time for some fun," hence the change, Kourtney koncluded:

"Anyone who knows anything about me knows that I take caution in all the products I use all the time, but especially when pregnant."

Yes, the one thing anyone who knows anything about Kourtney Kardashian would cite about this reality star is that she takes caution in all the products she uses all the time, especially when pregnant.

Neil Patrick Harris has been tapped to host the Tony Awards for the third time, according to reports. The actor hosted the annual award show in 2009 and 2011.

The 38-year-old How I Met Your Mother star, who will also be serving as a producer on this year's telecast, confirmed the news in a statement.

The 2012 Tony Awards air Sunday, June 10.

Neil P. Harris

“I’m thrilled to be a part of this year’s Tony Awards," he said. "Not only will I be shining a spotlight on the best that Broadway has to offer, but hopefully I’ll score some free house seats to a show – or five!”

Probably a fairly safe bet.

“Neil is the ultimate showman,” adds CBS Entertainment’s Jack Sussman.

“He brings great talent, energy and creativity to the Tony stage and usually a surprise or two. I can’t wait to see what he has in store this year.”

Relax, people.

That's the general message the number-two man at Apple is delivering to fans reacting in outrage over the casting of Ashton Kutcher as Steve Jobs for an upcoming biopic of the late genius.
