Giuliana and Bill Rancic, who have opened up about their struggle to have a child in the last few years, announced Monday that they're finally expecting a baby.

They've bonded with the woman who is making it happen, too.

"She is giving us the greatest gift we're ever getting in our lives," Giuliana, 37, says of the couple's surrogate, whose identity has not been revealed.

"She's selflessly helping make our dream a reality. We adore her."

The gestational surrogate is carrying their child, but it will be their biological offspring. Giuliana's struggles to achieve a viable pregnancy are well documented.

Asked if they plan to stay in touch with the woman once their child is born, Bill says, "That will be up to her, but we are very grateful for what she's done."

"We intend to maintain a relationship with her."

The couple admit they were quite nervous about picking a surrogate before they met the woman they chose, but they clicked with her immediately.

"Once we met her it was an instinct," says Giuliana. "We could tell she was a great person." Bill adds that the Rancics attend her doctor's appointments:

Ashton Kutcher and Mila Kunis spent all of last weekend together on a getaway. An insider says the actor has always thought of his former That 70s Show co-star as a "goddess." They are both EXTREMELY good looking.

But Kunis and Kutcher as a couple?!? Please, the actress says.

Mila Kunis at CineCon

Kunis responded to the rumors that she's dating Kutcher by telling Extra, during a stop in Las Vegas yesterday for CineCon to promote her role in the upcoming Oz: Great and Powerful, that the possibility is "absurd."

Yes, the two have been hanging out - but Mila has a simple explanation for the time they spend together: "A friend is a friend," she told the entertainment news show.

Still, a different source says otherwise.

"They're both single, having fun," a mole tells People. "There's nothing serious going on – just friends having fun."

Translation: uglies are being bumped. Darn you, Ashton. But at least we can stare at these Mila Kunis photos for awhile.

Should Octomom Nadya Suleman have custody of her 14 kids transferred to local officials? She's clearly in way over her head, and currently under investigation by DCFS over the horrendous living conditions in her La Habra, Calif., residence.

This has renewed debate over what is in the children's best interest.

Octo Mom

Octomom's hairstylist, Stephanie, called the cops on her after laying eyes on the squalor - one working toilet, graffiti, malnourished and unclean bodies - first hand.

DCFS officials are deciding what to do with the children, though Orange County police said Wednesday that no criminal investigation against Nadya is pending.

Cops who conducted preliminary interviews at the home said “no crimes were noticed,” but that doesn't mean she can't - and shouldn't - give up her brood.

Sad as it is, if kids are defecating outside, sleeping on floors and getting locked in rooms while Nadya Suleman does chores, would they be better off elsewhere?

No one wants a family to be broken up, but she's not doing those kids - or taxpayers - any favors right now. Tell us: Should Octomom's kids be taken away?

She may have to kiss a lot of frogs, but she will find her prince charming.

Or so we're told. The hometown dates are still filming and there's been no proposal made or accepted as of yet. For a look at who goes on those coveted dates, see The Bachelorette spoilers page on THG! Then take a look at ABC's promo below.

This season, evidently, will keep us guessing from the opening night. We're guessing that neither Brad Womack nor Bentley Williams arriving in the chopper, however. Crafty and misleading editing by the producers? Already in mid-season form.

The top six on American Idol were given two tasks on last night's performance show:

  1. Cover a Queen classic.
  2. Cover any song your heart your heart desires.

The latter option led to tracks made famous by artists such as Jim Hendrix, Miley Cyrus and Dave Matthews. Who came out on top? Whose second round performance makes him/her deserving of your vote? Watch them all now and then cast it...

Jessica Sanchez initiated the second round of performances with a take on Luther Vandross. She just wants to "Dance With My Father," people.

Skylar Laine then followed up a terrific version of "The Show Must Go On" with a flawless cover of "Tattoos on This Town." She's our favorite at this point.

Hollie Cavanagh didn't reach far back for her selection, honoring Miley Cyrus with the following rendition of "The Climb."

Joshua Ledet made India Arie proud with a lovely performance of "Ready For Love."

Elise Testone making like Hendrix? The finalist actually pulled it off well with this cover of  "Bold As Love."

And, finally, in the least surprising choice of the night, Phillip Phillips emulated Dave Matthews with "The Stone."

With an ailing Ryan Seacrest at the helm, and with the challenge in front of them to cover a band whose prime started and ended long before any of them were born, the American Idol final six took to the stage last night.

For their first song of the evening, Phillip, Skylar and company were asked to cover a classic by Queen. Who deserves to stick around? Watch all the initial round of performances now and then cast your vote...

Jessica Sanchez kicked things off with the song made famous by Wayne's World, "Bohemian Rhapsody."

Skylar Laine then sent the kind of message that's been relayed to injured athletes and actors for generations: "The Show Must Go On."

As usual, Joshua Ledet proceeded to soulfully slow things down with "Crazy Little Thing Called Love."

Elise Testone? She wants it all! And she wants it now! Watch her rendition of... "I Want It All."

Phillip Phillips didn't need his guitar for this version of "Fat-Bottomed Girls." What do you think?

Hollie Cavanagh closed this round with what appeared to be a plea to viewers across the land: "Save Me."

The Boston Celtics' Kevin Garnett interrupted a live broadcast before Tuesday night's game against the Miami Heat, creeping menacingly behind a pair of reporters.

The gregarious seven-foot forward did not play in the game, during which both teams largely sat their stars in preparation for the upcoming NBA playoffs.

That probably explains the comedic moment from the future Hall of Famer, who's normally in such an intense zone before games that it borders on scary.

This was still a little scary, but you get the point. Watch KG insert himself into the pregame chatter and see the reaction be receives from the announcers ...

University of Colorado student Madalyn Starkey posed for a photo with the President of the United States the other day ... possibly after a few too many drinks.

Traveling through Colorado Tuesday, Obama stopped in at a local pub known as The Sink, where the POTUS met many college students, including Starkey.

In the pic, Obama is grinning with his arm around her as the self-described "Professional Student" points her finger at the president in seeming disbelief:

Obama and College Student

Amid hundreds of shares and re-tweets, Starkey has been having fun with all the attention, saying "Woo, never knew a tweet could blow up like that. Neat!"

"Bet you wish you had taken me to prom now, huh?" she Tweeted at one follower.

The pic has taken off on social media sites like Instagram and Twitter ... almost as much as Obama slow jamming the news with Jimmy Fallon on Late Night.

Political views aside, needless to say, the Prez is the king of cool. Who wouldn't want to pose for a drunk photo with the guy and post it on Twitter?

Britney Spears' fiance Jason Trawick is officially her newest conservator, meaning he has the legal power to govern the pop star's financial, legal and medical affairs.

Britney's dad and conservator Jamie Spears filed the petition earlier this month, asking the court to add Jason as co-conservator. A judge agreed to the request.

Spears also wanted Jason, her former agent, on board as co-conservator.

After the hearing, Jamie was "thrilled," and the move makes total sense, since the two are set to be married. Spears and Trawick got engaged in December.

As co-conservator, Jason Trawick is now empowered to help decide how she will earn and spend her money, including the $15 million deal with The X Factor.

The reason for the conservatorship is that after her meltdowns of 2007-2008, a judge determined she lacked the capacity to make these decisions herself.

By setting up the conservatorship, the judge protected B from some of the leeches that surrounded her and put the power in Jamie's hands, and now Jason's.

Ridiculous as it all seems now, Spears could file papers to end the conservatorship altogether, but she has not done so. So it can't be all bad for her.

We're very sorry, Detroit Lions fans. But Calvin Johnson will suffer a debilitating injury any day now.

Indeed, the superstar wideout known as "Megatron" was voted by fans as the new cover star for wildly popular video game Madden '13, knocking off Carolina quarterback Cam Newton in the finals, despite Newton's funny appeal to sports fans.

It's been years, however, since the football player who appeared on this cover actually went on to enjoy a successful season.

"Man, it's great," Johnson said upon being named the winner, shaking off any notion of a cover jinx. "Just to see yourself on this Madden [cover] and seeing all the guys that have been on Madden? C'mon, man."

Over 20 million fans voted in the contest, with with Johnson beating out Dwayne Bowe, Arian Foster, Rob Gronkowski and Aaron Rodgers on his way to the championship.
