The Voice Battle Round: Adley Stump vs. RaeLynn

by at . Comments

RaeLynn, the mononymed aspirant on The Voice's Team Blake Shelton, got to kick off last night's Battle Round episode by being mentored by her idol, Miranda Lambert.

Also Blake's wife, FYI. Not a bad sign for the youngster.

RaeLynn got off to a rough start against Adley Stump, however, on "Free Fallin'" and was seemingly manhandled at the onset, before recovering a little bit later.

Was it enough to save her in this matchup? Take a look:

Blake opted to keep RaeLynn in a bit of a tough call, She has a nice way about her, but vocally, she fell short a bit on this one. Maybe he sees greater potential?

Who do you think Blake should've kept in this battle?

Adley was a 1,000 times better. I have no idea why he picked Raelynn over Adley. Blake made the same mistake last year getting rid of Xenia and keeping Dia. At the end of the day Adley could out sing most in the competition.

It was clearly a political decision. Adley was ten times better. Makes me think the Voice is not all that different from American Idol after all.

Raelynn does have a unique voice but had a really bad performance. Wrong decision Blake!! Don't know what you were thinking??!!??

People need to realize that Raelynn's voice was unique, She did a great job and Blake probably picked her because she's different and her accent is so cute and loveable.

Both we good but I think he made the wrong decision.

"fell short A BIT"? Raelynn was unquestionably painful to hear. Blake clearly did not judge based on the performance at hand. It mystified me last night, but this morning I'm inclined toward the view of people who say he picked based on Miranda, not Raelynn. And that comes to you from Dallas.
