Did Rick Santorum almost call President Obama the n-word?

Multiple news outlets are featuring a video of the Republican President candidate speaking to a crowd in Wisconsin this week (below), where he said:

“We know the candidate Barack Obama, what he was like – the anti-war government ...” He then starts to say a word starting with “n-” or "ni-".

He continues, “America was a source for division around the world, that what we were doing was wrong.” Did he almost drop the n-word? Listen:

Santorum’s team, of course, insists this is BS: “Give me a break. That’s unbelievable. What does it say about those that are running with this story that that’s where their mind goes. You know, I’m not going to dignify that with [a response].”

The n-word, one hopes, is never in anyone's thoughts, even subconsciously. The debates showed time and again that Rick Santorum, when frustrated, rapidly loses eloquence and becomes tongue-tied, stuttering slightly. Could that be all this is?

On the flip side ... what other ni-word was that supposed to be?

You tell us: Was Santorum about to drop the n-bomb?

As a PA voter, the rest of the world is finally finding out how NUTS this guy is....he's the kind of guy that talks to you at a party and you walk away saying - wow, he's totally off his rocker!.....he is as radical in his beliefs as any muslum .....sorry but its the truth...he injects his religious views into everything and would push the button if the Pope or God wispered in his hear to do so. Thankfully he's been exposed for the complete nut that he is......unless you have extreme right views like the TEA party, you will avoid this train-wreck of a human being.

Rick just needs to GO! He can't win! He knows it! This is insanity! Get behind Romney and let's get going going! We've got an election to win! Let's roll! 'Bama in the rear view mirror!

@Nick: I heard this in passing on BBC America earlier so some are carrying it. Story will pick up steam if Mittens uses it in his campaign & Lord knows his Super Pacs can be very negative lately so they will probably use it.

I didn't vote for bush or Obama. bush could rally. Obama cannot lead. Santorum is a waste of time. liberals will try and put everything under a microscope. to think this guy said nigger is an lie. NBC - is also a lie editing the 911 tapes made by Zimmerman. Santorum will not win. Romney will- then obama will lose- gas prices.

Really Laura Sue? What has "procedure law" got to do with a man seemingly using the N word at a presidential campaign rally? Next thing we know he'll be giving a speeches with a burning cross in the background. Disgusting. Lincoln must be rolling in his grave to see what has happened to his party!

Romney won't say it- I will. Get those job app's ready Democrats - we won't support you any longer.

@Nick: Havent seen it elsewhere either so I guess that kills the whole "the media picks on me" bs he was giving last week. Freud was right, the true self always emerges subconsciously despite best efforts to hide it. The party on self-destruction mode with all this candidates which is great for me but bad for democratic processes. Get your act together republicans, its election year.

how any democrat could possibly speak ill of anyone is the question. each & every move they have made has been a mistake. if Obama was a leader he would talk to the black leaders and have them understand that there is a procedure in law. investigations then a arrest. everyone can see this Powderkeg and Obama does nothing but say - if I had a son etc. how anyone can back this man is beyond me. he sits and stalls. he has no governing ability. people do not respect him and for good reason. what are you people thinking? do you really think you have a choice? if Obama was white he wouldn't get 30 percent of the votes. Jesus- talk about prejudice.
