Phillip Phillips: Hard to Handle on American Idol

All three judges criticized Jessica Sanchez for turning the beat around, while Phillip Phillips also paid for putting down his guitar and picking up a Black Crowes cover.
Randy Jackson made his feelings clear, telling Phillips "you are like a fish out of water doing this" in response to his take on "Hard to Handle," while Jennifer Lopez was a bit more forgiving.
"It just comes out of you," she told the season 11 hopeful. Watch this laid back crooner try to rock out a bit more than usual now and judge the performance below:

You are wrong about what Randy said to Phillip... he said Phillip was like a fish out of water in this competition because he was so unique and they haven't had a contestant like him, and went on and on to talk about how good his performance was, and it was amazing even though he had just had surgery... you guys really don't know what the heck you are talking about.
Trust me, anybody can growl when they sing. But not ninety-five times whenever they say three words >.>

I love phillip phillips I think he is an amazing artist! He is the reason I'm watching american idol this year! =) and randy jackson ment he was a fish out of water for american idol because he is so unique and he is a true artist/musician, not the song he picked which he KILLED!
I LOOOOOOOOOOOOOoooove Phil Phillips!! Hes the best guy on Idol yet! Hope he goes far! I will be voting for him every week. Idol needs a guy like this--who isn't a generic "pop" vocalist--hes a musician--AND extremely hot--which doesn't hurt either!
