Rihanna politely put a reporter in her place after being asked a question about her alleged recent dalliance with Ashton Kutcher at a press conference in London this week.

In the UK promoting her new film Battleship, Rihanna was asked by a ballsy member of the press if the Two and a Half Men star would be visiting her there.

Her response? Far from rude, but even farther from happy:

"Wow ... how disappointing was that question," the 24-year-old singer replied, adding pointedly, "I'm happy and I'm single, if that's what you're really asking."

Demi Moore is glad she cleared that up. The rest of us are just scratching our heads at how that even came up at a big-time press event for Battleship.

Rihanna and Ashton Kutcher allegedly hooked up earlier this month, though there is no proof of this other than a report that she visited his pad late night.

There were no photos and TMZ even took down the story, making it even wilder that someone had the nerve to ask a made-for celebrity gossip question.

The day after Erika Van Pelt was eliminated from American Idol, she was relatively calm, expressing excitement over this summer's tour and saying she expected to be in the bottom three.

But the first member of the top 10 to be sent packing took a few days to ponder the results of last Thursday and took a different yesterday in an interview with People.

"I definitely felt a little shafted by their decision not to save me," Van Pelt admitted, referring to the judges' veto power. "It's one of those things that, in hindsight, I'm looking at it like they didn't want to use their save this early."

Bethenny Frankel has admitted in the past that her marriage isn't perfect. (Poor Jason Hoppy and his cobweb-filled penis!)

But now In Touch Weekly is reporting the relationship is in serious trouble, with Hoppy recently storming out of the pair's New York City residence and checking in to the Cosmopolitan Hotel.

Bethenny Frankel and Jason Hoppy at Sea

“The fighting has gotten worse,” an insider says of the reality TV-based couple, citing Frankel's obsession with her looks and her fame as a cause of the contention. “Her energy has been nervous and neurotic. He can’t take it anymore, so he’s been doing everything on his own.”

Hoppy is just telling friends he's living elsewhere temporarily, however, and referencing renovation on the tandem's $5 million apartment as the reason why.

Bethenny and Jason have a 23-month old daughter named Brynn.

Carson Daly is still feeling the heat for comments he made yesterday morning on his radio show, and this time the source is the mother of a 9/11 hero.

Following Daly's on-air joke that implied gay people were too weak to subdue an airline pilot - in this case, the JetBlue captain, Clayton Osbon, who simply lost control of his senses aboard a flight earlier in the week - Alice Hoagland has penned a letter to the host of The Voice.

Hoagland is the parent of Mark Bingham, one of the passengers on 9/11's United Airlines Flight 93, who helped wrestle control from terrorists and crashed the plane in a Shanksville, Pennsylvania field, saving countless lives in the process.

"Yes, my gay son was known in our family for bringing me flowers on my birthday and Mother’s Day," Hoagland writes. "He also was known for careening down the rugby pitch, and, on the morning of September 11, 2001, for charging unarmed down the aisle of a doomed Boeing 757 to face knife-wielding Islamist thugs in a hijacked cockpit.

Police surveillance video footage of George Zimmerman hours after he shot Trayvon Martin does not appear to show any injuries or bloodstains on the man who claims he killed the Florida teen in self defense February 26.George Zimmerman Picture

His attorney says the video is too grainy to be revealing, however.

The footage, obtained by ABC News late Wednesday, shows the handcuffed Zimmerman getting out of the police car, unaided, and walking into the police station where he was escorted after the shooting in Sanford, Fla. Watch:

In the police tape, taken about four hours after the deadly incident, there are no visible signs of injuries to Zimmerman's head or blood on his clothes.

However, he is wearing a red jacket, which could obscure a lot.

Zimmerman's attorney Craig Sonner described the video as "very grainy" on NBC's Today, noting that Zimmerman had been "cleaned-up" and received first aid care in the hours between the incident and his arrival at the police station.

Sonner previously said that his client suffered a broken nose and a gash to his head during the altercation in which he says Zimmerman feared for his life.

According to just this week's tabloid covers alone, Kim Kardashian is going through Hell and is suffering from the vengeful wrath of Kris Humphries.

But while Kim has remained silent on those topics, she felt a need to speak out yesterday on yet another magazine claim: that she stole Eduardo Cruz from Eva Longoria, as the following headlines screams:

Kim Kardashian: Man Stealer!

"I'm used to rumors & almost never address them," Kardashian Tweeted, adding that this is an exception because: "It's not ok when magazines like InTouch involve my close friends in their made up stories. They were told by multiple people that their current cover isn't true, but they decided to go ahead. & run it anyway. So there you have it."

We, sadly, have nothing to criticize Kim about in this case. She's probably right on this one.

But, ummmm, look how photoshopped the Kardashians are in this bikini picture!

The new season of the new version of Punk'd premieres tonight, with former host Ashton Kutcher behind the camera as a producer and a rotating weekly emcee in front of it, beginning this episode with some guy named Justin Bieber.

In promotion of the show, both stars appeared on Jimmy Kimmel Live last night, dishing on topics that included:

  • Justin's freedom now that he's 18 years old.
  • Justin somehow forcing Ashton to purchase a new home.
  • Justin wanting to make Taylor Swift cry via a major prank.
  • Kutcher, hilariously clueless about his reputation since splitting from Demi Moore, wondering how people can have sex in space.

Watch a quarter of clips from the interview now:

Earl Scruggs, a prolific bluegrass artist who popularized the three-finger method of banjo-picking that came to be known as "Scruggs style," has died.

"Earl Scruggs, the most important banjo player who ever lived, has passed on," Steve Martin tweeted after news broke that he'd passed. He was 88.

The North Carolina native, who died of natural causes yesterday, released at least 29 live and studio albums over the years. And he also wrote this:

Scruggs wrote the music and sang "The Ballad of Jed Clampett," aka The Beverly Hillbillies theme song, with Lester Flatt and singer Jerry Scoggins.

He won his first Grammy in 1969 for the instrumental "Foggy Mountain Breakdown" and followed up with his second in 2002 for a re-recording of it.

That version featured Martin on banjo, with Paul Shaffer, Leon Russell, Vince Gill, Albert Lee and Marty Stuart, on 2001's Earl Scruggs and Friends.

He received a Lifetime Achievement Grammy in 2008.

He may be an early favorite with the Dancing With the Stars judges, but Jaleel White’s ex says he is an abusive cheater, according to a new report from Star.

Bridget Hardy, with whom White has a 2-year-old daughter, says he became violent with her after she confronted him over evidence that he'd been cheating.

Hardy, and a bathroom fixture, allegedly paid the price.

Jaleel

The alleged altercation between them took place in 2010, when Hardy said that the former Family Matters star, now 35, “hit me across the chest area.”

“He pushed me into the toilet and it broke,” she said. “Water went everywhere, through the walls and even into the kitchen downstairs,” she said.

White vehemently denies the claims and was never charged with a crime.

Had he not been cast on DWTS this spring, would this have even come up again? THG was not there for the alleged toilet attack, but it sounds fishy.
