It is on between the Beliebers and the Little Monsters.

After Lady Gaga usurped Justin Bieber's throne on Twitter this month, taking over as the most-followed person on that social networking service, a fan of the teenage sensation took to the Internet and - as excerpted by The New York Post - wrote:

"To all beliebers this is operation unfollow Lady Gaga. I'm sorry if your a 'little monster' but don't [you] want Justin to be #1 followed on Twitter?"

As a result of this campaign, the hastag #OperationUnfollowGaga has sprung up on Twitter.

  • Justin Bieber in Vegas
  • Lady Gaga in Times Square

Naturally, Lady Gaga's followers aren't on board with this plan. One Tweeted it to be "pathetic."

And what are the current standings? Bieber - who released a new single this week - checks in at 19,115,097 million followers. Lady Gaga has him beat at 21,813,419.

It's now time for you to take a side. What are you, readers?

Lil Wayne has a knack for making it rain. This is unquestioned. No matter the timing, no matter the circumstances, the rapper wants to throw dat cash!

Hey, when you gots insane amounts of bank, flaunt it.

With that in mind, The Chive created this amazing photo gallery of Weezy making it rain in all sorts of interesting situations ... ones you might not typically associate as the most natural fits for his notorious strip club behavior.

For instance, here's him right after the royal wedding ...

... and in President Barack Obama's Situation Room, during the raid on Osama bin Laden's compound in Pakistan last year. Someone's gotta lighten the mood:

Secretary of State Hillary Clinton looks understandably shocked, but the rainmaker does what he's gotta do. Follow the link above for a dozen more of these gems.

It's hard to think of two more contrasting crooners than the pair who took to the American Idol stage last night.

We had Nicki Minaj, who gyrated about and delivered an energetic performance of "Starships," scantily-clad outfit and all.

And then we had the season 10 champion Scotty McCreery, a laid back country boy who lets his deep, mature voice do all the work, in this case standing behind a mic and belting out a version of his new single, "Water Tower Town."

McCreery was also presented, as seen here, with a framed, enlarged version of his platinum debut album, "Clear as Day."

Which season 11 contestant might duplicate this success? Our money still must be on Phillip Phillips.

Watch Scotty perform his next hit below.

Jaleel White is speaking out against claims by his former girlfriend Bridget Hardy, who told Star magazine that White verbally and physically abused her in 2010.

"The allegations made against me back in 2010 have suspiciously resurfaced in time to coincide with my new show on Syfy and Dancing With the Stars," he said.

"Bridget Hardy has consistently shown a knack for timing throughout our child custody disputes," insists Jaleel White, the father of her two-year-old daughter.

"When you're doing well in life, it's par for the course for [people] to try and knock you down. But when the individual is also the mother of your child, it is particularly hurtful."

"I have co-parented in peace and compliance with the law for over two years."

The Dancing With the Stars competitor went on to elaborate on the relationship he's had with Hardy, who he says he hasn't seen physically in almost six months.

American Idol eliminated one finalist last night, leaving eight remaining, all hoping to strike it big, earn a Grammy nomination and sell millions of records.

Just like Nicki Minaj!

The hip hot artist brought her fun attitude and all of her cleavage to the results show this week, dancing around the stage and performing a version of "Starships," the debut track off a new album that comes out on April 3.

Minaj also jokingly asked Jennifer Lopez to "scoot over" so she could judge the contestants for a bit, to which J. Lo replied: “I don’t know if there’s room for both of us up here.”

Check out the performance below and look for Nicki to appear on TV often over the next few days: she will appear at Saturday’s Kids’ Choice Awards and also on the April 6 edition of The Today Show.

George Zimmerman's brother Robert spoke on Piers Morgan Tonight Thursday to say that George is innocent, his life was in danger after Trayvon Marin attacked him violently, and that medical records will prove his brother's injuries were real.

Robert Zimmerman Jr. spoke to CNN last night, saying he wanted to correct some of the "mythology" and untruths that have been spread about the case.

"We're confident the medical records are going to explain all of George's medical history," Robert Jr. said. "His nose is swollen in that video. I'm his brother."

George Zimmerman, a neighborhood watch volunteer, said he shot Trayvon Martin in self defense after the teen attacked him the night of February 26.

Martin, 17, was walking through the gated community back to the house of his father's fiancee, was wearing a hoodie in the rain and was unarmed.

Sanford, Fla., authorities say Zimmerman has not been charged because there are no grounds to disprove his account that he acted in self defense.

Critics say Zimmerman, who is half Hispanic, racially profiled Martin, who was black.

The shooting of Martin has sparked an intense national debate about race, leading to widespread debate. It was even addressed by President Barack Obama.

Like the POTUS, Robert Zimmerman Jr. also called the shooting a tragedy, however, he warned that some of the responses by the media and public have shown bias against Zimmerman and degraded the memory of the deceased.

Katie Couric is back on morning television. For a week, anyway.

The former Today host, who left to anchor the CBS Evening News six years ago, will fill in for vacationing Robin Roberts on Good Morning America next week.

“Katie Couric is going to be sitting in this chair next to George Stephanopoulos,” Roberts said, confirming the report. “We’re all thrilled to have Katie.”

The gauntlet has been thrown down, young rock stars.

Bruce Springsteen, 62, jumped into the crowd during his Wrecking Ball tour stop Tuesday night in Philadelphia, grabbed some stranger's beer and chugged the entire thing in the middle of a song, surrounded by a sea of devoted fans.

All in a day's work for the beloved blue-collar rock icon. Watch Bruce chug, then throw the empty cup triumphantly into the crowd like ... well, like a Boss:

Floor seats at Wells Fargo Center: $125. Watered down domestic beer: $9.50. The Boss ganking it from you during a rendition of "Raise Your Hand"? Priceless.

They all chose singles by their personal idols this week, but for one member of the American Idol top 9, that role model proved to be unlucky tonight.

Whose name was called at the conclusion of the latest results show? Did the judges use the power of their save to keep this individual around? You're seconds away from the answer...

Idol Top 9

Following performances by Nicki Minaj and Scotty McCreery, Hollie Cavanagh, Sklyar Laine and Heejan Han stood in the bottom three. Hollie was the first to be told she was safe, leading to the announcement moments later that Han would be going home.

He once again belted out "A Song For You" in an attempt to be rescued by the panel, but - despite tears from Jennifer Lopez - it was not meant to be. Only eight finalists remain.

Did Han deserve to go home this week?
