He was best known for grabbing rebounds, but now former NBA star Dennis Rodman could use an assist. In life.

An Orange County court commissioner told the Hall of Famer yesterday that he will be held in contempt - and face 20 days in prison - over the $860,376 in child/spousal support he owes his ex-wife.

Rodman has until May 29 to come up with the money, but it could be a problem says his financial advisor, Peggy Williams. She claims her client is broke.

"In all honesty, Dennis, although a very sweet person, is an alcoholic," Williams tells The Los Angeles Times of Rodman. "His sickness impacts his ability to get work."

Rodman is a multiple-time champion and All-Star and one of the best defenders in NBA history. His colorful life off the court has included a marriage to Carmen Electra; time spent as Madonna's boyfriend; and a resume that includes donning a wedding dress to a book signing, along with coaching a topless women's team.

It looks like one Los Angeles sports institution is buying another.

A group of investors including former L.A. Lakers star Magic Johnson and longtime baseball exec Stan Kasten agreed Tuesday night to buy the Dodgers baseball team.

The price: A staggering record $2 billion.

That amount would shatter the mark for a sports franchise. Mark Walter, CEO of financial services firm Guggenheim Partners, would become controlling owner.

"I am thrilled to be part of the historic Dodger franchise and intend to build on the great foundation laid by Frank McCourt as we drive the Dodgers back to the front page of the sports section in our wonderful community of Los Angeles," Johnson said.

The deal, revealed hours after Major League Baseball owners approved three finalists for an intended auction, is one of the steps toward a sale by the end of April.

It is subject to approval in federal bankruptcy court.

The first elimination on Dancing With the Stars is always a bit of a dubious honor, but at least here in Season 14, it was a fairly open and shut case.

Martina Navratilova has double faulted her way home.

The tennis legend just didn't take to the jive, and she landed at the bottom of the pack for the second week in a row. It was curtains Tuesday.

Martina Navratilova and Tony Dovolani

"It was an amazing experience," Martina said. "Again, I wish it had lasted longer. I gave it everything I had, but I just blew it yesterday, and it cost me."

Only three points separated her from second-to-last Melissa Gilbert, but that's just too much distance so early. Incidentally, Melissa was safe early on.

Not so lucky, surprisingly, was 20-year-old Roshon Fegan, who finished in second place and still ended up "in jeopardy" with Martina and Gavin DeGraw.

That might be nothing more than the producers' way of shaking things up, but it's also entirely possible that his name hasn't caught on with the masses yet.

Britney Spears can change that fairly quickly if she chooses. Just saying. Anyway, with Martina gone, who will win Dancing With the Stars? Vote below!

Paul Sturgess, a player for the Harlem Globetrotters, recently dunked over some guy with the worst vertical leap ever. Does he even jump? Barely, if so.

Sturgess, who goes by the nickname "Tiny," played basketball at West Virginia's Mountain State University before being employed by the Globetrotters.

At 7'8", he'd have had better offers if he had better skills, but at least he's playing professionally in some capacity - and starring in viral videos, to boot!

The clip below, showing "Tiny" dunk over some poor sap and then taunt him afterward, is a little like most of us dunking on a five-year-old. Still, fun!

Only Kris Humphries - and PETA - can paint Kim Kardashian in a positive light...

According to an E! News insider, a divorce settlement is yet to be signed between this briefly-married pair because the bruising NBA power forward is hoping to holdout for a payday beyond the offer on the table.

  • Kris Humphries on the Nets
  • K. Kardashian

"Kris is dragging it out," claims this Kardashian source. "Kim is ready to move on, but Kris is hoping that stretching it out will get him even more money."

As has been previously reported, this mole says Humphries wants to bank $7 million from the split… or $1 million less than his one-year contract with the New Jersey Nets. In exchange, reports have said he'll keep silent about supposedly damaging facts related to the failed union.

But "Kim never considered signing something like that," this insider says. "Kris can't take the time to consider [her] offer, but he finds time to do an interview with a tabloid magazine."

Ohhh, zing! It's important to keep this source in mind, too, of course. It's E! Online. Which pretty much views Kim Kardashian and her family as its personal ATM.

Seriously, Kris, Kim and those at E! who promote these people make the Nets look like winners.

Undeterred by her legal woes and recent mediocre performance on Saturday Night Live, Glee has been diagnosed with a serious case of ... LINDSANITY!

Sorry. Some things just never get old.

The hit Fox series is in final negotiations with Lindsay Lohan to guest star this spring in one of the current season’s final episodes, according to reports.

She'll be taking on a key role ... herself!

Lindsay Lohan on Late Night

Once source material for the show - her mom chastised Glee and Gwyneth Paltrow for cracking jokes at her expense - LiLo will serve as a celebrity judge at Nationals.

No word yet as to who will join Lohan on the panel, although we would recommend Lady Gaga, Katy Perry, and Kim Kardashian, with the latter getting flour-bombed.

The Glee gig will mark another step in Lindsay's comeback, which began with a Playboy spread of all things. Her last scripted TV gig was a 2008 arc (!) on Ugly Betty.

She’s also in talks to play acting legend Elizabeth Taylor in a Lifetime biopic. As for Glee, producers also recently landed Whoopi Goldberg as a big-name guest star.

Has Bravo already found a replacement for Camille Grammer?

Yolanda Hadid spoke to Access Hollywood yesterday and said she's in negotiations to join The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills for season three. This Dutch model/interior designer is married to music producer David Foster.

Yolanda Hadid and David Foster

Grammer and Bravo made it official this week: the ex-wife of Kelsey Grammer will NOT be returning to the franchise, as a network source claimed the decision was mutual, but Camille has made it clear that she'd have preferred to remain on the series.

Would Hadid make a quality addition? Yes, as long as she's cool with a lot of back stabbing and table flipping. And script reading, of course.

Following her sister's flour bombing last week at the hands of an irritating PETA activist, Khloe Kardashian announced to the world yesterday that she was through with the company for whom she posed naked in 2008 (below).

The Kardashian Klan

In response, PETA has issued a statement that basically say: we understand. But your sister still sucks!

"We appreciate that Khloé will remain on the animals' side by not wearing fur - that's what counts," a rep for PETA tells E! News. "If one of our volunteers is responsible, it doesn't alter the fact that no animal deserves to be electrocuted, shot or poisoned for a bit of fur clothing.

Khloé is just defending her sister, and we know she has a good heart, so we wish her well. We just wish she also had more influence on her sister."

Sigh. Talk about a battle where this is no winner. Whose side do you take in the PETA versus Kim Kardashian feud?

Opening arguments began today as the U.S. Supreme Court prepares to rule on President Obama's landmark national health care law later this year.

Whatever the nine justices decide, it will be historic.

The so-called individual mandate is the linchpin of the law and came under scrutiny as the nation's highest court launched into its hearing Tuesday.

That provision of the law requires Americans to buy health insurance, and it could unravel President Obama's biggest domestic policy achievement.

The justices must decide how much power the federal government has in forcing every American to purchase a product or enroll in a government program.

Lawmakers have never before used this power, as insurance, while obviously valuable in countless situations, is a product one could theoretically avoid.

Proponents of the Patient Protection and Affordable Care Act, a.k.a. ObamaCare, say it's unprecedented because it's never been this necessary.

Opponents contend it's because the authority doesn't exist, and argue it must be struck down by the high court on grounds of unconstitutionality.

The Supreme Court justices will be looking at three significant constitutional areas to determine whether the Affordable Care Act (ACA) is lawful:

Lindzi Cox acts like she got away with something.

The Bachelor runner-up, who Ben Flajnik rejected in favor of MODEL Courtney Robertson on this month's season finale, is all smiles these days, as if she dodged a bullet.

When she departed, Lindz did so with an interesting parting shot, telling Ben that he could call her if (and when) everything unraveled with finacee Courtney.

She meant it as a joke, though, and from the looks of it, she's content to move on and forget, more or less, that anything ever happened with Ben.

Jilted as she may be, the Seattle resident who rode in on a horse has ridden off into the sunset on a high note, and is about as happy as a girl can be.

No bad blood toward Ben Flajnik and Courtney Robertson, no ill will toward the show, no wondering what might have been ... and no looking back.

Safe to say Lindzi Cox is the real winner here?
