    Somebody needs to read what Mari wrote. You are so right he does act like MY definition of a nigger and I don't care who knows it I am tired of the blacks in this country trying to take it all laying on welfare anywhere they move you can guarantee in 2 months it will look like a ghetto I think Paula Dean should be given a medal

    So the food net work dropped Paula? The blacks can call the whites cracker...honkies and in their rap songs say to kill white babies and all white people but they do nothing about this? Food net should have given them an ultimatum and told the black community to lay off the "cracker" and the honky names and stop slamming whites in the rap songs. I blame the whites for this. They do not stick up for themselves. I would not back down from a black person at all. Is there something wrong with the word Negro now? It has been used for years and years....what about colored...something wrong with that? What the hell do they want. And I would love to call Obama something. That is what this is about. She is not a left wing liberal. She is a conservative. The liberals can get away with this.

    You evidently don't know your history... And you must be racist. What people called the black race back in the day was not their choice, it was made up by the white man who forced the blacks into slavery, hung them from trees, treated them like animals. The names like Negro, colored were not good ones, just look at how many time they changed the black race name but they never changed the white race like that so you know something was wrong with it. Now a lot can be said about the white race, but not everyone put races in categories. You are not born a racist or ignorant, your raised that way. That include the rap songs that use the "N" word. Every black person doesn't use it. And not all black people call white people racist names. Only ignorant people with no morals do that or try to defend it. Get over yourself! Plus if Paula wasn't so famous there probably wouldn't be any news articles about her...public figures have to watch what they say and do in the public's eye. That goes for all races.

    You are correct. You aren't born in it, you are raised to be a races d..k head. I am from a races family and I desided that it was wrong and sick. I refused to be like them and all of the others that thinks that it okay. I may have been disowned by my family but that's ok. I happy.
    Yes. because she has made a name on tv and other thing, blow it all out of control. besides that, what proof do they have she did those so call thing any ways. Wal Mart dropped her, let me tell you, I lived in Vermont, new Hampshire and north Carolina and every one of there stores have rude and races cashiers in them. I have been on the other end because I choise to claim my native side, and may of their workers made races remarks against me and the superviser didn't do a thing about it. so who is the right their.

    I was born and raised in Savannah, GA, and think it is one of the most befutiaul cities in the country. I am, however, not a huge Paula Deen fan. I respect her rise from relative obscurity to superstardom, but I think there's more to Savannah than just Paula Deen and her billion dollar empire. Getting to go to Savannah for free, is a very good thing. Only eating at The Lady and Sons and Uncle Bubba's, would be a TRAGIC mistake. Savannah has so many smaller, less commercial, more authentic Southern food spots. I hope you get to go there, soon. But please, check with some locals before you believe the hype from the tour companies!!

    One of the best trips I ever had was w/my husband, random day-trip to Savannah. We had no idea where we were going, just drove. Went to the shore, took in the beautiful scenery, and got lost on a little side road that housed one of the greatest fresh seafood dinners I've ever had, served on paperplates outside around cable-wheel-tables. Savannah will still be awesome with or without the Paula Deen empire! As for the racist stuff - we're in 2013. Stop trying to excuse or justify this kind of behavior!

    @allsaints45. Really you would rather have a man who's part of the one percent, a man who's plan will be pretty much survival of the fitest. Obama has cleaned up what a republican destroyed and you want to put another dumbass there that will take this country to hell in a handbag. Obama 2012 keep your jobs in America ppl. Or, did we forget what he was doing at Bain???

    The only thing I know is that the more famous Paula Deen has gotten, the more fake she is...and what a potty mouth! I saw her at the Food Show in Atlanta last year...she did NO cooking, showed up 40 minutes late, advertised endlessly her endorsements and was drunk on stage. Those tickets were very expensive and I'll NEVER pay to see her 'butter up' food again!

    Avatar

    What can you expect from a redneck from Albany, Ga.

    Avatar

    What this article left out was Ms. Jackson making these allegations to Deen's lawyers and threatening to go public with those unless she got paid a large sum of money. Sounds like extortion to me! I wonder if Georgia has a "loser pays" law like Texas, where the plaintif pay the defendant's legal expenses if their lawsuit fails.

    "Innocent until proven guilty"....is still in place in our judicial system last time I checked. You can see prejudices slithering out here against white southern women. Shame! Prejudice is prejudice no matter how you package it. Until the litigation is over no one has a right to pass judgment on this woman.

    @ALLSAINTS45--Good choice in the "N"-word, comrade! I agree--"NEVER"!
