This man is IGNORANT. First of all, not every person who wears a hoodie is a criminal or is trying to look like a thug. A lot of people wear hoodies as a substitute for jackets. I wear them a lot in the fall and in the winter. I'm not a thug, I have no criminal record, and I'm not a 'gangsta wannabe' either. I'm just a normal 19-year-old girl. Lots of normal college students, high school students, and even kids in middle school wear hoodies. The people criticizing him are right: his argument is just like the old-fashioned 'if a woman wears revealing clothes, she's asking to be raped or the rape is partially her fault' argument that is used by prudes and misogynists. Just as those misogynists and prudes actually enable rapists with their backward logic, this man is enabling people like the man who shot this child. He's enabling intolerance, violence, and profiling.
