The Biggest Loser Contestants: On Strike!

by at . Comments

Contestants on this season of The Biggest Loser have a weighty issue with NBC.

Those remaining on the reality competition have actually walked off the set and are threatening to collectively quit because they learned producers were planning to bring back former contestants to compete for this season's $250,000 grand prize.

This is not an atypical move in the world of reality TV, of course, but this season's hopefuls all find it unfair that past losers are now being given a chance to become winners again.

NBC has not commented on the situation, and production has been suspended for a few days, but season 12 contestant John Forger tells TMZ this season's competitors are missing the point of their participation.

"It's not about [money]. What it's really about, for most of us, is the change in our lifestyle, and being able to get rid of obesity," he says. "For most of us, it's about health. Would I walk off the show for the money? ABSOLUTELY NOT."

I agree!! This has been the worst season to watch. I don't like any of them. They ALL should be helping each other, instead of being jealous of someone else. I think it is a great idea to bring back old contestants that have been sent home, because they are really working hard to get the weight off....for themselves not the money!! I say, let them all walk, and bring back all the people that were sent home!! Give the people on strike NOTHING!!!

How pathetic, the theme of the seaon is NO EXCUSES, this is just another excuse. What a joke, there are thousands of people who would love a chance to be on the ranch, and here these folks are going on strike. What a joke. Kick them all off and get new contestants, ones who really want to lose weight. This is a waste of Bob and Dolvett's time. This group is horrible!

If the contestants want to walk off the show, then let them. It's about better health. This season the players are rude, harmful, hurtful and down out mean. You should send these players home and get people on the show that want a chance at better life.

I understand what the contestants are saying here.. but what I see alot of in this season is they are truely not there to loose weight they are there to play the game... what good is that! If their hearts and minds aren't in it then they will not be successful at keeping the weight they loose off.. I have been very dissapointed this season with the minimal amount of weight that has been shed especially on the black team.. To much drama and ignorance going on.. Poor Bob!!
