Sofia Vergara Voted Most Desirable Woman in the World

Sofia Vergara may be hard to understand on Modern Family, but the results of a new AskMen.com poll are easy to comprehend: the actress has been voted The Most Desirable Woman of 2012.

Vergara, 40, is the oldest female yet to take home the title, and she follows last year's winner, Blake Lively; the 2010 champion Emmanuelle Chriqui; and Eva Mendes, who occupied the top spot in 2009.

In response to this outcome, the sitcom star sent out a "big thank you to all the men who desire me." She leads a top 10 that includes:

    I think Sofia is EXTREMELY beautiful and her latin beauty and personality make her more desirable. Latins are far sexier. and she is a colombian hottie. i went to colombia once and wow, women there are unbelievably stunning. i used to be a big fan of angelina jolie but she is too skinny now, i would keep sofia vergara all the way!!!

    She is definately not the most desireable woman in America; her beauty is not original enough. She is no Sophia Loren, Gina Lollibrigada, Elizabeth Taylor or Brigette Bardot. She is a nice looking lady but that is all she'll ever be at 40.

    I love her Cover Girl commercials, and I love her Pepsi commercials she is every where, I do like her and love Modern Family, she is great and yes very pretty.
