Mitt Romney "Not Concerned" About Poor People

by at . Comments

Republican presidential candidate Mitt Romney is in damage control mode after a comment he made about not being concerned about America's poorest people.

He said this pretty much verbatim. In context, but still.

"I'm in this race because I care about Americans. I'm not concerned about the very poor. We have a safety net there. If it needs repair, I'll fix it," he told CNN.

"I'm not concerned about the very rich, they're doing just fine. I'm concerned about the very heart of the America, the 90-95 percent of Americans who right now are struggling, and I'll continue to take that message across the nation."

Asked to elaborate on the "very poor" part, because it sounded pretty bad, he did so, without taking it back. Was his answer satisfactory? Watch and decide:

My warped sense of humor would offend him. If I showed up with duct tape....hmmmmm...yeah I see your point!

67Fuon- Maybe he needs you to talk to him! I'm a male and my delivery sucks & I have no tact! Ha!

Damnit Reed, buy the duct tape before he explains this away with another song. Comments like this make him look like a douche, which we understand what he meant, but by the end of the day every democrat will have commented.

The Liberals are scared shitless of Romney. They know he is a threat. From the looks of it Obama himself doesn't appear to give 2 shits about poor people. People over estimated what the Government can do for them. They under estimate what giving freely does for them. Obama stays in for 4 more and my guess is that people will see the lack of giving. Fund raisers- Tips at Food establishments- commission on appliances. You only think its bad now?. The only thing Obama is scared of more than losing- its winning. Then he will be forced to do something he has yet to do-LEAD!

Mitt is an idiot! The very poor don't care about him either. They will show him how much they don't care about him when they don't vote for him!
