Karl Lagerfeld to Adele: Sorry!!!

Under fire for comments he made about Adele - referring to the beloved songstress as "too fat" earlier in the week - fashion designer Karl Lagerfeld is backtracking faster than a point guard with Blake Griffin coming down the lane.

"I'd like to say to Adele that I am your biggest admirer. Sometimes when you take a sentence out of the article it changes the meaning of the thought," Lagerfeld told Metro yesterday, adding:

"What I said was in relation to Lana Del Rey and the sentence has since been taken out of context from how it was originally published. I actually prefer Adele, she is my favorite singer and I am a great admirer of her. I lost over 30 kilos over 10 years ago and have kept it off. I know how it feels when the press is mean to you in regards to your appearance. Adele is a beautiful girl. She is the best. And I can't wait for her next CD."

Fair enough, Karl. And you certainly are not alone with that sentiment.

The "Cat Walk" Models that I would push out of the way to get to this one? Endless number. She is sexy as hell.

Okay Karl, he's retracting the statement for financial reasons. Women and men world wide would stop buying Chanel if he didn't. It's rather transparent. Whatever, designers have to stop promoting unhealthy skeletons on the runway. Karl is one of the worst offenders.Designers in French fashion houses are still dangerously into the 'waif' look. What that does to young women and their self esteem is crazy.

Adele is Beautiful in every way. Shes the best singer ive heard since Stevie Nicks. I hope she cleans the house Sunday.

I am sick of designers like Lagerfeld. I am a 66 year old woman and growing up never worried about my weight. The designers today are crazy!!! Most of their models look skeletol, sick looking and too young. I would just once like to see normal young women or older women modeling their designes. Maybe then I would by something of theirs. Where are their brains!!!! Most designers need to look in the mirror them selves. I have the money to buy designer apparrel, but won't. You need someone like me to model and maybe then you would have the admiration you desire.

FINALLY! Time for the fashion industry to get over it! Curvy women are here to stay...if they were smart they'd capitalize on dressing these women instead of trashing them!
