Joshua Ledet: The Next Fantasia?

by at . Comments

The bar is already set very high for Joshua Ledet.

This season 11 hopeful covered a song by one American Idol icon last night (Jennifer Hudson's "You Pulled Me Through") and was then referred to by Steve Tyler as "Mantasia," a clear reference to season four winner Fantasia Barrino.

Is he worthy of such praise? All three judges gave Ledet a standing ovation after his performance, which led to Randy asking for an "Amen up in here" and adding "this is what singing is about." Do you agree?

He is incredibly excellent. For 19 years old an amazing emotional and vocal maturity..a sheer joy to listen to on all levels!
Simply incredible!!

I didn't hear the others but you got my vote.

he was so great it made me cry......never has a.l. had anyone with a voice like his.......

Joshua made me cry he sang so beautifully. He also made me cry for not embracing his southern roots. NO ONE in the south pronounces Ledet the way he is. It always was and always will be pronounced LEDAY . Come on Josh, be proud of your heritage!!!"

He is a super star. I love to hear sing. who know Westlake, La had such hidden talent in their little town.
