Gerard Butler will exit the Betty Ford Center today, following a 30-day rehab stint for an addiction to pain medication.
In related news: apparently Gerard Butler has spent the past 30 days at the Betty Ford Center for an addiction to pain medication.
TMZ broke this news about the actor, quoting sources who say his problem started in 2006 while filming action scenes for 300.
Butler reportedly responded to the pain triggered by the physical demands of that movie by popping pills, a problem that grew worse in December when he was injured in a surfing accident while shooting Of Men and Mavericks.
He entered the well-known treatment facility three weeks ago, with insiders also claiming cocaine played a small role in Butler's struggles.
We wish the action star a full recovery and really hope he stays away from drugs and Real Housewives going forward.
