Bruce Springsteen Kicks Off Grammy Awards With Latest Single

by at . Comments

Living legend Bruce Springsteen kicked off the 54th Grammy Awards on Sunday with his latest single, the patriotic anthem "We Take Care of Our Own."

Backed by the E Street Band, Springsteen's energetic effort left his fans - including a very enthusiastic Lady Gaga - on their feet dancing and cheering.

Not bad for a 62-year-old.

The first single off of his upcoming album Wrecking Ball, "We Take Care of Our Own" embodies many of close-to-home themes that have made the New Jersey native so influential and a working class hero to many. Watch the Boss of Rock n' Roll below:

As Grammys host LL Cool J said afterward, right before his prayer for Whitney Houston, Bruce and his music always have a way of speaking to our times.
