Reports of Adam Lambert taking over as the lead singer of Queen, for a prolonged summer tour, may have been premature.
But the former American Idol runner-up has now confirmed that he'll stand in as the frontman for this iconic rock band for one unique evening in England.
"I have been invited by Queen to sing one very special concert! Sonisphere at Knebworth July 7th!” the 30-year-old artist Tweeted last night, adding: “Sorry to be coy about the details the past few weeks, but I made a promise to keep it under wraps as best I could. Gonna be a surreal night!”
Lambert, who has pushed back the release of his new album by a few weeks in order to improve its material, unveiled the official video for "Better Than I Know Myself" earlier this month.
