The Twilight Saga to Continue Past Breaking Dawn?!?

by at . Comments

Might November 16, 2012 not mark the beginning of the end for The Twilight Saga after all?

While we're still nearly a year away from the release of Breaking Dawn Part 2, Lionsgate President Jon Feltheimer is already looking at life beyond the final installment of Stephenie Meyer's novels - and he has an idea for how to milk the franchise for all it can produce.

  • Robert Pattinson Promo Photo
  • Breaking Dawn Poster: Jacob

“It’s hard for me to imagine a movie that does $700 million-plus doesn’t have ongoing value,” Felthemier said of the possibility that another film could be made. “It’s an amazing franchise that they have done a great job of maintaining with absolutely no deterioration."

But the source material is tapped out. How could the studio back another Edward and Bella-based saga?

“Maybe go back into some of the back stories,” Feltheimer suggested. “There’s been talk of shorts and different new media, too.”

Only time, and screaming Twihard reaction, will tell. But what do you think of this plan? Do you want to see Twilight extended beyond Breaking Dawn?

Oh gawd. No. Please just let it end!

I think the movies will be the same if Stephanie Meyer doesn't write a book first! It should be up to HER what happens next :) I am a total Twi-hard so that would be amazing if another movie was made!

I doubt Robert Pattinson would agree to continue with Twilight and I'm not interested in watching it without him.

I totally agree with Heather, Alex, Audrey and Rachel. Stephanie Meyer needs to be involve and she would have to definitely write the story.

i think it would be a great idea.. the thing with twilight fans its either they love it or they hate it.. i think they should continue the saga... but include renessme and jacob, how it affects bella and edwards life... that would be the best and most interesting.. i think the twilight fans would love this..

The only problem is, if Bella and Edward are not included in a big way I doubt it will be nearly as popular as the others have been.

After saying more is better, I am also concerned about the quality of the story/plot to be developed. Star Wars is an example that the stories could go on forever, providing the material is good enough and that it would make sense. Please make sure the plots are better, even if sans Stephenie Meyers. Tata!

I would like to see @ least one story based on Renesmee & Jacob. However S Myers must write the book first & keep the original cast & of course keep it pg-13.

All the same people and just do what comes natural, Jacob and renesmee team up, and show all of Bella's training with Edward on how to hunt and Be apart of the human race. Show how her father gets to know all. He gets involved with a women. So much more to see. Don't let them all fade out. It's the best story ever.

Oh dear God please make it stop. These movies and books are the worst pieces of media and literature ever.
