Adele is not one to talk openly about her personal life.

Well, unless she's recording a hit single based on recent heartbreak.

But the superstar was forced to released a statement this week in response to a report that claimed her boyfriend, Simon Konecki, was still married to Clary Fisher, the woman he wed in 2004.

“This is the first and last time I will comment on the details of my relationship with Simon," Adele wrote on her website. "Contrary to reports and headlines in the press today, Simon is divorced and has been for 4 years. Everyone in our lives separately and together wish us nothing but the best, and vice versa. These are the facts. Take care and see you all in February xx."

Adele underwent throat surgery in late October and it's unknown when she'll return to the usic scene. But at least she has a nice, UNmarried man to keep her company in the meantime.
