There have been so many shocking celebrity divorces lately, even by Hollywood standards. Not just breakups, but actual marriages crumbling before our eyes.

Some did surprise us more than others, but we can honestly say we didn't see any of these divorce filings - all from the last 12 months alone! - coming at all.

10. Zooey Deschanel and Ben Gibbard. The New Girl star and the Death Cab For Cutie member certainly seemed like a perfect match. Apparently not.

9. Kim Kardashian and Kris Humphries. Okay, not all that surprising for myriad reasons we have been over ad nauseam on THG. But 72 days?! Idiots.

8. Tareq and Michaele Salahi. Like Kim and Kris, nothing about these two truly shocks us. Except her running off with Journey guitarist Neal Schon.

7. Leah Messer and Corey Simms. The stars of Teen Mom 2 seem so happy ... on the episodes that are still airing now! Well, not last night's. Still!

6. Ashton Kutcher and Demi Moore. Seemed an odd fit at the start, but their split came totally out of left field. Now she's taking nitrous hits. Nitrous.

5. Jennifer Lopez and Marc Anthony. Apparently not the marrying type.

4. Ashlee Simpson and Pete Wentz. Remember them? We forgot too.

3. Katy Perry and Russell Brand. They're polar opposites, but were so crazy about each other and we thought it was just crazy enough to last forever.

2. Arnold Schwarzenegger and Maria Shriver. The heiress to the Kennedy political dynasty and the Governator seemed as rock solid as they come.

1. Heidi Klum and Seal. Still fresh, but as stunning as any other celeb divorce we can remember based on the couple's perpetual displays of love.

More information is leaking out regarding the hospitalization of Demi Moore last night.

According to TMZ sources, a friend of the actress' called 911 because Moore fell into a semi-conscious state due to nitrous oxide inhalation. She was, oddly enough, apparently taking part in what's known as "whip-its," the name teenagers have given to this cheap, easy process of getting high.

Where is Moore at the moment? Under doctor's care at a Los Angeles hospital, and Radar Online claims to know why.

That site reports that while the star may have been taken away in an ambulance due to the abuse of a substance, the real issue at hand here applies to her dramatic weight loss (depicted in the photos above).

"Demi is in getting treated for anorexia, as well as other issues that caused her seizure," an insider says. "She has not taken care of her health at all lately and has lost a ton of weight."

Regardless of whatever else is going on with Moore, that much is undeniable. We'll continue to wish the actress a full recovery and will keep readers apprised of her progress along the way.

Aside from the optimistic platitudes, soaring rhetoric and feel-good proposals, President Barack Obama's 2012 State of the Union address was overtly populist and unquestionably combative as he maps a path to a second term in 2013.

Obama’s speech included no shortage of appeals to unity, bipartisanship and overriding American purpose, and he articulated plenty of vague, popular-sounding policy goals, similarly to how Bill Clinton kicked off his 1996 campaign.

His central message, though, stressed a sharp and basic philosophical contrast with his ideological opponents, clearly forming the centerpiece of his reelection effort.

While Obama prevailed in 2008 as a change agent - a more progressive implementer of American ideals than his GOP opponents, certainly, but still a post-partisan uniter - he appears to be taking a dramatically different tack in 2012.

Can this new, 2012 version of Obama recapture the same campaign magic, however? Will independent voters return to him over the Republican alternative?

With approval ratings in the mid-40s, he's clearly banking on it, since this seemed in many respects a speech designed to align him with the "99 percent."

Two and a Half Men is one of the top 10 most-watched shows on television.

But Charlie Sheen either doesn't know this or doesn't care, because he made his feelings on the sitcom well known during a press conference in Miami this week.

"I don’t think it should go on past this year," the actor said. "I just think that people are there because there’s nowhere else to go."

Of course, Sheen plans to change that with his FX sitcom, Anger Management. Proving that he's not an entirely changed man, the star promised the series - which will start casting in March and premiere this summer - "will not disappoint," adding:

"It’s going to be an absolute f-ckin' rocket ship to the moon."

James Farentino, a veteran TV actor whose career was marred by personal problems later in life, has passed away, according to the L.A. Times. He was 73.

Farentino, who notched nearly 100 TV roles including recurring roles in series such as Police Story, Dynasty and Melrose Place, was married four times.

He played George Clooney's estranged father on ER, and was also known for a turbulent relationship with Frank Sinatra's youngest daughter, Tina Sinatra.

After a five-year, on-and-off relationship with Tina Sinatra, Farentino in 1994 pleaded no contest to stalking her after being charged with 24 misdemeanor counts of stalking.

Sentenced to 36 months' probation plus psychological and alcohol counseling, Farentino believed that some in the industry treated him differently after the incident.

Farentino died Tuesday at Cedars-Sinai Medical Center after a long illness. He is survived by his fourth wife, Stella, whom he married in 1994, and sons David and Saverio.

Did you hear that Kris Humphries is single? It's true. He split from some woman named Kim Kardashian after just 72 days of marriage.

Wait... what? It was 72 days?!? How is that possible?!?

Anyway. The point remains the same: Humphries is a bachelor once again and has finally redecorated his house to reflect that fact.

"Remodeling my place felt great," the Nets power forward tells the latest issue of Life & Style. "It was the perfect way to kick off the season and have a fresh start."

Kris was assisted in the process by Jason Cameron and Tony Siragusa, the stars of DIY Network's Man Caves, with the former saying Humphries desired a "cool, modern space" in his basement. 

"Kris is a nice guy. You could tell he was ready to start a new chapter in his life," Cameron said.

Hear that, ladies? Who wants to enter this strapping young man's improved, initialed cave?

R must be a big Tupac fan, because she just had the words the late rapper immortalized emblazoned on her hands. The 23-year-old pop superstar hit up an LA tattoo parlor yesterday to get her ink on, as she showed us in the below Twitter pic.

Pretty bad ass tat. The t-shirt she was wearing while she got the work done? A vintage one featuring John Lennon's face. Totally thuggin' it hardcore there.

Following past trips to Ghana and Chile as an ambassador for UNICEF, Selena Gomez is now planning an even more dangerous trek, telling E! News last Friday night:

"In April, we're going to go somewhere a little harder, the Congo... I was talking to Joel Madden and he works with UNICEF and he went... and he said it was the most intense thing he had ever done in his entire life - and the best thing he had ever done."

Gomez has served as a UNICEF ambassador for approximately two years, raising over $200,000 for the cause last week during an event at The House of Blues.

"We're helping to save the lives of children all over the world," Selena wrote on her Facebook page.

Teen Mom 2's Jenelle Evans gets in almost as much legal trouble as DMX. Yet the North Carolina malcontent insists she's the victim of spiteful law enforcement officials.

Evans, who was involved in a melee with her roommates on last night's Teen Mom 2 (below), was arrested twice LAST WEEK after a fight she had with her roommates.

Different roommates: Hannah Inman and former boss James Duffy.

If nothing else, you can count on Jenelle Evans not to sugarcoat anything. In an interview with E! News, she set the record sort-of straight about her recent woes.

"I actually am confused about the arrest from last week," Evans said. "I haven't contacted Hannah or Duffy in a month, and I was the first to press charges."

"I think they are trying to charge me with things out of spite.

"Hannah does not own a cell phone either so there's no way I could of harassed her with phone calls. I never threatened Hannah. I guess she claims I'm a threat."

"All that does, it just makes me laugh, because I moved 45 minutes away from her three weeks ago to get away from the drama and be closer to school."

Jenelle's second arrest came, according to Duffy, when Evans refused to take down a naked picture of Hannah on Facebook, violating a protective order.

"I didn't post any naked picture of Hannah. I have four admins on my Facebook. One of them must've posted it. I didn't even know it was posted," Jenelle says.
