Golden Globe Awards 2012: List of Winners!
by Free Britney at .Did the 2012 Golden Globe winners go according to plan? Or were there any big surprises? Are the Oscar favorites more or less cemented right now?
The Help, The Artist, The Descendants and Hugo proved they are early Oscar leaders, with each film taking home some hardware Sunday evening.
The Artist’s wins for Best Score and Best Actor for Jean Dujardin kept the critical favorite squarely in the driver’s seat as an early Oscar favorite.
After winning Best Actor for The Descendants, George Clooney is the man to beat for the honor at the Oscars. That film was also the best drama.
Best Motion Picture, Comedy or Musical went to The Artist, while Meryl Streep won Best Actress (shocker) as Margaret Thatcher in The Iron Lady.
The Cecil B. DeMille Award for lifetime achievement went to Morgan Freeman (above), who received the honor from Sidney Poitier and Helen Mirren.
On the TV side, Homeland, Modern Family and Downton Abbey were the big winners.
Kicking off the night was a Ricky Gervais monologue that went after stars such as Justin Bieber and Kim Kardashian this year. So ... there's that.

Wow. You people are flaming imbeciles. Morgan Freeman wears a compression glove because his left hand is paralyzed from his car accident in 2008. Have some respect.
Seriously, why does Morgan Freeman need to cling to the childish contrived look made famous by Michael Jackson...Seriously, dark shades and a black glove? What is the purpose or meaning. That goes to show why some actors have questionable intellect. Why not just show up in a tux, sans the shades and dive glove, and be a class act? I like his acting but I really really do question his maturity and his IQ. Believe me, I have known people in the acting business and their IQ is generally in the double digits. It does not take much smarts to memorize lines and pretend to be someone else. Yes, it does take committment, and a talent for it, but not a lot of basic intelligence. That explains why so many mentally troubled people and others who have no aptitute for anything else, drift into acting as a last resort. Watch the bio channel and you'll see that it is a very very commonality these actors and celebrities have in common.
Wow amazing....Morgan freeman truly deserved lifetime achievement award. He's a great actor seriously !!! His movies like Dark knight, Shaw shank redemption, Amistad and se7en are one of my fav movies. Thumbs up !!!

Over the moon with the Michelle Williams win. Instead of impersonating Marilyn Monroe, she managed to take hold of her soul. It was a truly impressive performance. There is something so special about this girl - both professionally and personally. Delighted by the Idris Elba win, too. Well deserved and a fantastic series.
