In an unfortunate case of foreshadowing, or life preemptively imitating art, Russell Brand is seen removing his wedding ring in a video promoting his recent tour.

The video was shot on November 14, a month and a half before Brand filed for divorce from Katy Perry, one of the least expected celebrity breakups of the year.

In anticipation of meeting a few college coeds, Brand takes it off, stating “I’m just going to place this somewhere very, very safe for the next week” ...

“This is going to be a week of revolution, a week of occupation, and more importantly, I’m going to learn firsthand about sororities,” he says in the online clip.

“I don’t know even what a sorority is, except for these things I’ve seen on (X-rated site) Nudevista,” he jokes. “They’re sort of like sex clubs for women.”

Brand joked about looking forward to that week of unadulterated fun. As a newly-single guy, we imagine he's taking that mantra all the more seriously now.
