Marcus Canty cannot hit the same notes as Melanie Amaro. But, to this X Factor finalist's credit, he makes no attempts to do so.

On last night's Michael Jackson-themed episode, for example, Marcus focused a lot more on his moving and his grooving than his singing, covering "Pretty Young Thing" while surrounded by a slew of back-up dancers. He even added a backflip to the number!

But will it be enough to carry Canty to next week, considering his clear lack of singing ability when compared to the other contestants? That's up to you to decide, voters. Watch what LA Reid dubbed an "inventive arrangement" now:

With 2011 quickly drawing to a close, it is with great pride that THG unveils its 10 finalists for its prestigious, arbitrary, 5th Annual Celebrity of the Year award.

These celebrities gave us their best, their worst, their nude pics and sex tapes (sometimes) and their scandals (often). This month, THG honors that greatness.

We kick off the top 10 with a perennial train wreck ... Lindsay Lohan!

Lindsay Lohan Motivational Poster

THG's take on what a Lindsay Lohan motivational poster would look like.

The past year was a wreckalicious one for Lindsay Lohan, who used to be an actress (we think), and who came in at #8 on last year's COTY list for the same reason.

Yes, for almost as long as we can remember, she's been best known for being a mess. But a prolific one. Nobody violates probation and racks up legal bills like LiLo!

Heck, if she weren't in court every freaking month and without gainful employment, we wouldn't be gearing up to see Lindsay Lohan nude in Playboy this month!

For that, men everywhere thank her. Now let's review the year in Lohan ...

Josh Krajcik performed "Dirty Diana" on The X Factor last night. At least we think he did. With all the staging and sound mixing and choreography, it was legitimately difficult to hear the singer throughout this rendition.

Which is too bad because we adore Josh. Remember last week's cover of "Wild Horses?" Great stuff.

"That was the first time I’ve seen you step out of your comfort zone. But you landed on your feet," LA Reid told the only over-30 crooner remaining in the competition.

Do you concur? Watch Krajcik's latest now:

Has Demi Moore found her post-Ashton Kutcher rebound?

A source tells Radar Online that the actress started dating business magnate Scott-Vincent Borba about a week ago, as "they have known each other a long time and he's really been there for her" throughout her recent relationship struggles.

Borba is the CEO and founder of BORBA skin care products, a line endorsed by such beauties as Ashley Greene, Mila Kunis, Stacy Keibler and AnnaLynne McCord.

"He’s head over heels for Demi and there’s definitely potential for a lasting relationship between them," this insider said, adding that Borba can easily keep relationships a secret because his job entails posing with female stars anyway.

As for Kutcher? Don't feel bad for the serial cheater. He was spotted in Iowa this weekend, partying it up with a bevy of lovely young ladies.

Astro made a Michael Jackson track very much his own on The X Factor last night.

The young rapper changed up the lyrics to "Black or White," a bold move that earned praise from the panel, as LA Reid told Astro he likely made the Jackson family "proud," while Simon Cowell gushed over how the finalist made the song younger and added a great new hook.

Watch for yourself:

Vinny Guadagnino is apologizing profusely after the rap song he posted online - featuring lyrics about him pretend-raping strippers - did not exactly go over well.

The Jersey Shore star has issued a formal apology for the rap, which he posted Wednesday morning but took down before we could even download the masterpiece.

Probably a good idea.

Vinny Guadagnino of Jersey Shore

Vinny helps us remember how to spell his ridiculously long surname.

"I'd like to apologize for the rap," Seabiscuit wrote on his blog. "Was meant to be a funny take on an already 'dirty' song, funny since I'm known as the 'good boy'."

"I am 100 percent against violence of any kind. I work with many organizations to stop violence and bullying, and will continue to. It's something I strongly believe in."

"I am very, very sorry to anyone I've offended."

Lesson learned: Do not joke about raping strippers, or slavery, or the Holocaust, or murdering your son if he talks in a "gay" voice. Possibly a little over the top.

Seriously, folks, Justin Bieber and Mariah Carey don't want a lot for Christmas. They don't want toys. They won't even ask for snow. There's just one thing these artists need: YOU.

The 17-year old sensation and the veteran singer have teamed up for a cover of the latter's holiday classic, "All I Want for Christmas," which is featured on Justin's new album and whose official video was released last night during the tree lighting ceremony in Rockefeller Center.

It features Bieber singing in a department store and Carey dressing like a very sexy Santa. Check it out now!

The Biebs, of course, has been a VERY busy young man this fall, promoting his CD via a number of duets and videos. Others that honor the upcoming holiday include:

Jon Stewart and The Daily Show staff pulled a fast one on GOP Presidential candidate Jon Huntsman over Twitter. What did the comedian do to his namesake?

Well, the Republican, who is active on social media, held a "Twitter Town Hall meeting" on Tuesday, asking followers to send him questions via hashtag #Q4Jon.

Stewart, obviously, thought up a fun prank and asked his Twitter followers to "tweet actor Jon Hamm your questions by 4:15 Eastern! Hashtag #Q4Jon.”

Huntsman

You can imagine the results. One question thus read, “Jon, in ten years do you see yourself following George Clooney’s or Tom Selleck’s career path?”

Jon Huntsman, to his credit, Tweeted: "Definitely Clooney's career path. But I think that Q was for Jon Hamm. Funny prank @TheDailyShow! #Q4Jon"

The funniest question that the presidential hopeful answered was one that involved variations of his first name. One user asked the former Utah Governor:

"@JonHuntsman Do you feel those who spell John w/ H are wasteful liberals using consonants wantonly & w/o discretion? #Q4Jon"

Jon Huntsman's response? A simple, hilarious "Yes!" Sadly, no one asked if he is the title character in Snow White and the Huntsman.

Anybody else think all U.S. presidential candidates should be constitutionally required to field questions on Twitter at least once a month from now on?

Melanie Amaro is no stranger to Michael Jackson.

During an X Factor theme night that honored this iconic artist - someone Amaro had previously covered this season via "Man in the Mirror" and "Will You Be There?" - the top contender for this competition's crown brought the crowd to its feet with her version of "Earth Song."

"I forgot that we were in a competition and I thought we were in a Melanie concert," LA Reid said in response to the performance, while Simon Cowell kept his praise short, sweet and accurate: You were amazing, he told his charge.

Chris Rene made a passionate plea to X Factor viewers last night, on an evening when the top seven contestants covered classic by Michael Jackson:

Just call his name, people, and Rene will be there.

The singer/rapper most definitely put his own spin on this MJ single, rapping various parts of it (the parts Simon Cowell liked best) and being told by LA Reid that he's "the truth." Paula, meanwhile, told Chris that he manifests "in abundance in the heart department."

That's gotta be a good thing, right?
