Mike McQueary: I Broke Up Alleged Jerry Sandusky Rape
by Hilton Hater at .A day after Jerry Sandusky gave a disturbing interview to Bob Costas - in which the former Penn State defensive coordinator admitted to showering with young boys - Mike McQueary has also made news for his role in the alleged cover-up of child molestation at the university.
McQueary is the assistant coach who, according to a grand jury report, walked in on Sandusky anally raping a 10-year old in a shower in 2002. He has come under extreme fire for going to his father about the incident, as opposed to the police, while also not actually stopping the act.
But a new email has surfaced, sent by McQueary to a reporter last week, in which the ex-coach says he DID break up the rape and DID speak to authorities about what he witnessed. This is what it reads:
You are the first person I have told this ... and I don't know you extremely well ... and I have been told bye (sic) officials to not say anything...
I did stop it, not physically ... but made sure it was stopped when I left that locker room ... I did have discussions with the official at the university in charge of police ... no one can imagine my thoughts or wants to be in my shoes for those 30-45 seconds...trust me.
Do with this what you want ... but I am getting hammered for handling this the right way ... or what I thought at the time was right ... I had to make tough impacting quick decisions.
What an enormous, tragic mess.

I found (from an INCREDIBLY unlikely source) a well composed and well researched blog post that essentially outlines the link between homophobic organizations in which adults have "ultimate authority" over children and pedophilia. And if Mike had just kept quiet and gone about his affairs as most of you do? Be grateful that he managed to do the right thing however little it may seem now. In hindsight, its always easy to sit and judge. And let us not pretend that, adulthood bestows upon us an obligation to be moral, power will forever corrupt, Jerry Sandusky was allowed to happen by the moral decay in his society. Take care of the log in your own eye.. which reminds me.

If I ever walked in on any adult raping a child I would tear that person off the child and take the child out of there not watch it happen and leave. I have 3 nephews age 13. 8 and 10. I keep thinking of someone seeing them be raped and basically do nothing I would kill...
