Dancing With the Stars Results: Kind of a Shocker!

by at . Comments

After Monday performances that saw Ricki Lake cement her frontrunner status on Dancing With the Stars, the question was who would join her in the final five.

With Lake amassing a huge lead and fan support, J.R. Martinez a virtual lock (no way he's going home after one off week that wasn't even that off) and Rob Kardashian looking increasingly strong each week, it came down to these three contestants ...

Hope Solo and Maksim Chmerkovskiy
Nancy Grace and Tristan MacManus
David Arquette and Kym Johnson

Was last night the end of the line for Hope, Nancy, or David?

Hope Solo continues to improve, but not fast enough for the judges' liking (sorry Maks). David Arquette has been good, not great. Nancy Grace? Just bad Monday.

So which one of them got the heave-ho?

Follow the jump to find out here ...

David Arquette, despite a strong run this fall, has been sent home.

Wow. That was not what we saw coming at all, we have to admit it.

David and partner Kym Johnson were ousted from the show, meaning both Nancy Grace and Hope Solo are in the final five on Dancing With the Stars. Wow, again.

Having repaired his image, David handled his ouster with good cheer.

"This whole thing has been incredible, I've loved it," the actor said after the news. "But there must be a mistake, because this is my show. I can't go home!"

Take that, Maksim Chmerkovskiy!

"I'm just kidding! I came here to learn about myself, face my fears, entertain people and give America a chance to get to know me better - and learn to dance!"

He gets all 10s from us on that front. But still, what a surprise. Agree?

Did David Arquette deserve to be voted off Dancing With the Stars?

Ricki Lake is also donating proceeds..is it for AIDS or what?? Esp. in Africa. However, this last week Ricki was good at her dance, unlike Nancy.

Jennie, i agree with you!! Joanne, Hope also makes faces like how could you dare send me home. i was tired of her before last week. It's just David is a little wierd..maybe a lot wierd..so i can see why voters didn't keep him in. He talks like a girl and laughs like one. Ha! Ha! Your sooo right Rose but.....

i think some of this Hope drama is staged..to make one feel sorry for her..to keep her in the eye! Personally, i would have liked Hope's boring dance to have gone 1st or Nancy Grace...but gravy, my mom is voting for the Vet and Nancy Grace...so that's part of the problem. No imagination from the voters! i'm glad the crowd had the sense to boo!!

Can't believe they booted David off, so much better that Nancy, she should have been the one to be gone!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Bert, that's my issue. Quit? She would never. What I'm saying is that because of the kudos she's receiving from the commentators on her own show, she's evidently come to believe that she's a terrific dancer.

Its not about improvement. Its about competition. If Grace improves 1000 % she will still be the worst ever. She should just quit. Surprisingly, the judges are afraid to critcise her. Even when her partner is unable to hold her fat a.. up.

Nancy grace she shamelessly promotes herself on her own show. Oh yea she is donating proceeds . Well she could just as easily write a personal cheque for the same amount. It's about ego ego ego. The results? Well how about rigged because the alternative does not say much about viewers and voters. And what about Rob Kardashian, why is he even on that show?????? And why is he still there????

Pleeeeeese? What is Nancy Grace still doing on the show. She can't dance and she has the personality of a rock. Besides that she is just mean.

TO JANI (COMMENT 33): No. There is no cash award for winning. The celebrities are paid for their appearances and it is these earnings that Nancy Grace has said she is donating to The National Center for Missing and Exploited Children. The contestants are paid $125,000 for the first two weeks and then they are paid $20,000 every week there after. If they remain until the ninth week, they receive a bonus of $50,000. I do think that by a celebrity making a public announcement in advance of the contest of the intention to donate to a charity, the other contestants are disadvantaged IF the judging and voting is in any way legitimate.

Nancy said she would donate he money to a charity (not sure which one) if she won and that helps garner votes. She may be rich but maybe the others need the money since they have no job right now other than DWTS
and I would keep the money myself after all that hard work for weeks and injuries for some.

Dancing with the Stars Quotes

We should have started dancing with one arm waaay before.

Cristian de la Fuente [following his injury, trip to the hospital and subsequent stellar performance]

I am not the best dancer, and I have not been the best dancer from the beginning. I am happy we made it this far.
