Kelly Clarkson is not gay. But she's also never been in love with a man and that's why this singer thinks there's a rumor out there about her sexuality.

Appearing on The View yesterday to hype her new album, the original American Idol cited her hometown of Burleson, Texas and explained:

"I'm from a small town so, like, everyone's married with children or about to have children. So it's a little hard when you go home and people are like - and that's why people think I'm gay - because they're like 'Why aren't you married?' And I'm like, 'it doesn't happen for everyone right off the bat.'"

Bernie Madoff and his wife Ruth decided to kill themselves rather than face reality after his multi-billion Ponzi scheme was made public, according to reports.

They attempted suicide together the Christmas Eve after Bernie was exposed.

The revelation comes in a new CBS News interview with Ruth Madoff, the only interview she has given about her shady husband’s infamous crimes.

“I don’t know whose idea it was, but we decided to kill ourselves because it was just so horrendous,” Ruth Madoff tells 60 Minutes. “We had terrible phone calls. Hate mail, just beyond anything and I said, 'I just can’t go on anymore.’”

The Madoffs attempted to overdose on pills: Ambien and possibly Klonopin.

“I took what we had, he took more. That added to the depression. We took pills and woke up the next day. It was very impulsive and I am glad we woke up.”

Michael Lohan was released from jail on $5,000 bond yesterday following his Tuesday a.m. arrest for domestic violence against on/off girlfriend Kate Major.

Lindsay's father was then arrested AGAIN for allegedly contacting Major in violation of a restraining order, then got stuck in a tree trying to evade police.

Seriously, this actually happened. Talk about going out on a limb.

Tampa police responded to a call early this morning from Kate, who claimed MiLo had been trying to contact her by phone and wouldn't leave her alone.

This after he was torn a new one by a judge for violating the restraining order the same day, and told if he even dreamed about Major, he'd go to jail.

Officers interviewed Kate, who called 911 on him earlier this week, at her apartment after she made the call. While police were there, he called. Again.

Officers believed that given Michael's repeated disregard for the no contact order, he was considered a "threat," so they went to his hotel to arrest him.

That's when he tried to escape by hopping a third story balcony ... and landed in a tree. Officers then helped him down and hauled him back to jail.

Michael Lohan was charged with violating a condition of his pretrial release (contacting Kate) and resisting arrest without violence. He is in custody.

Chaz Bono did not leave Dancing With the Stars on the best of terms.

He and partner Lacey Schwimmer were fired up after their performance this week, with the usually reserved duo saying the judges' comments were "disrespectful."

They weren't complaining about the scoring that left them in last, but in particular to the way Bruno Tonioli compared Bono to a cute, fluffy penguin in his critique.

But after Chaz Bono's elimination became official, he gave a really nice farewell speech, and it seemed he and Schwimmer had put any hard feelings behind them.

"I was quite angry," Bono, 42, said. "But I feel really good today. I'm not leaving the show bitter or angry. I'm grateful for Lacey and everybody I worked with on the show. It was a wonderful, life-changing experience. I'm so glad I did it."

Some people suspected World Cup soccer star Hope Solo could have been voted off based on her low score on Monday night and her partner Maksim Chmerkovskiy's outburst at Len Goodman - but not Bono and Schwimmer.

"After the judges' comments and the scores last night, it was kind of no question [it would be us]," Schwimmer said. "It was almost as if they set it up."

Justified or not, Chaz is watching from the sidelines now, but he lasted six strong weeks, five longer than a lot of people (including himself) expected.

Sister Wives star Kody Brown and fourth wife Robyn welcomed their first child together - and his polygamist family's 17th overall - to the family on Wednesday.

Solomon Brown was born at 2:02 a.m. on Wednesday in the family’s home in Las Vegas, Nevada, and he weighed in 9 lbs., 10.5 oz., with a length of 22 inches.

He and Robyn are both resting comfortably.

Congrats to Kody Brown and the whole family! Robyn's the one in the middle!

Proud papa Kody said, “He's perfect and we couldn't be happier."

His controversial family is documented on TLC's Sister Wives, on which Meri, Janelle and Christine welcomed Robyn to the extended family last year.

The family recently left Utah and are struggling with the vast array of changes in their lives, separated in four houses in more-accepting Nevada.

Robyn's pregnancy was the focal point of the third season premiere of the reality show. We anxiously await Solomon's debut on a future episode.

Gone are the days of $700 haircuts. Here are the days of Kate Gosselin spotted out and about in Reading, Pa., at Target with daughters Mady and Cara.

They sure got huge since the Jon and Kate Plus 8 glory days!

The infamous reality mom did a little early holiday shopping as the paparazzi, who are somehow still camped out in middle-of-nowhere-PA, looked on:

Ever since her reality show got dropped by TLC, Kate has been whining that she'll be broke without Kate Plus 8, but has apparently come back to earth a bit.

In addition to shopping at Target and spending time at home, she's been running a website and Twitter account detailing the ins and outs of life as a mom.

A recent entry dealt with attacking the laundry. Last night she added:

“Can I just say how HAPPY I am to b in my bed??! What a day oh my oh my! I smile at my bed after days like these! GN all! Life beat me up 2day!xoxo”

We can't speak for anyone else, but consider us enlightened.

In the wake of Robert Pattinson hinting that a music career might be in his future, Johnny Depp has sent out a challenge to the Twilight Saga star: you aren't the only actor who can jam!

The star, who next appears in The Rum Diary, stopped by the Continental Club in Austin, Texas and shocked attendees by playing a 90-minute set with ZZ Top guitarist Billy Gibbons and musician Bill Carter. As you might expect, the crowd went absolutely wild.
