Nancy Grace on Amanda Knox Verdict: Casey Anthony Redux!

by at . Comments

Nancy Grace doesn't hold back.

The news pundit and Dancing With the Stars competitor was not among the many people lauding the Amanda Knox verdict yesterday. Grace's thoughts on Knox's conviction (in the 2007 slaying of Meredith Kercher) being overturned?

"I think that it was a miscarriage of justice," she said.

Amanda Knox, Nancy Grace

Nancy Grace does not hold back when it comes to her favorite cash cows.

"I only hope Ms. Knox makes something of her life because she's certainly been given a second chance. Very few people are given the chance she has been given."

Knox, a University of Washington student who had been studying in Perugia, Italy, faced a sentence of 26 years in prison after being convicted of murder in 2009.

Yesterday, an appeals court overturned the 24-year-old's conviction.

Grace did not directly link the Amanda Knox trial to that of another infamous case in which a young woman, Casey Anthony, was controversially cleared of murder.

She didn't have to. Grace famously said "the devil is dancing tonight" upon the release of Anthony, who she ripped frequently and derisively referred to as "Tot Mom."

There are some parallels between the women, but unlike the Casey Anthony case, wasn't Knox cleared, at least in part, because of an independent review of DNA evidence? Which made the case against her less incriminating?

What do you think? Is Nancy on point? Off base? Running her yap for ratings? Should she just stick to Dancing With the Stars nipple slips and call it a day?

You tell us: Amanda Knox is ...

If Italy can find Amanda Knox not guilty, then America should surely be able to find Casey Anthony guilty.

In my opinion, anyone who has spent even 5 minutes reading up on the case instead of being spoon fed by the pro-Knox U.S. media knows that there is no possible way she wasn't involved in SOME way. Absolutely no way. Please read about the case and it will become obvious. The media here has fixated on two disputed pieces of forensic evidence and diverted attention from the mountain of other things pointing to involvement. You could take all the forensics out and it's still quite clear that they are not free of all guilt. It's been quite astounding to me how much about this case has been completely ignored in the media.

I thought the same thing-especially when Amanda dropped the poor me pathetic act-she had that same crazy pyscho smirky face anthony had when she knew she had gotten off-and the common denominator?? no one seems to know who else killed Meredith or Caylee-which would be question #1 if either where actually innocent-Amanda looks like a spoiled devious backstabbing manipulator-she has a wicked evil side and likes freaky shiittt but mommy and daddy get the the whole sweetness and light white wash job-I think both of these women are TRUE psychopaths

I agree with Nancy. DNA does not lie. Meredith Kercher's blood & DNA should not have been on a knife in Rafaello Sollecito's apartment (along with Amanda's DNA on the same), not should Rafaello's DNA been on Meredith's bra clasp. The high powered defense lawyers and their investigators fed smoke and mirrors to the Italian jurors. Like the OJ and Casey Anthony jurors, they could not believe a pretty face could committ such a horrendous crime.
Just how does team Amanda think Rudy Guede was able to enter Meredith and Amanda's apartment without forced entry? Try Amanda's key? Who does makes out with her boyfriend after her friend has been found brutally raped and murdered? Who does somersaults at the police station when they are being questioned about the murder?
Try sociopath and killer, Amanda Knox.

Grace think everyone is Guilty. Looking like a The witch of wizard of Oz

i will not watch your show anymore you are doing this for the ratings. there was no dna she wasted 4 years in jail. qamanda will do great things with her life.

Nancy Grace is criminal journalist, this is her job to report on the news. Sometimes that involves her own opinion, but isn't it a free country!!!!!! Quit attacking Nancy!!!!!! Some of these news reports want to continue to talk s#@t about her because of what she said about baby killer Casey Anthony, well get over it and move on. If you guys hate her so much quit putting her name out there by hating on her. If you hate her so much don't even mention her name instead of promoting her!!!!!!!

Meredith was a victim yes, and the man who murdered her is already been tried and found guilty, with dna evidence proving he did it. Amanda did not murder her or have any part in it at all so she is a victim also. I am sure Meredith would not want an innocent person to pay for a crime she didn't commit. No evidence whatsoever to prove she did anything. It was a horrible thing that happened to Meredith and nobody is denying that issue. But keeping an innocent person or persons in prison will not bring her back nor will it serve any justice. Please take your hate out on the man they proved committed her murder!

Everyone keeps saying "what about meredith?" What about the other guy (guede I think)? Why did it HAVE to be more then him? He was linked by evidence to the murder! I understand that we need to remember meredith, but locking up an innocent girl simply because she was acting a little less than a grieving friend (they only knew each other a short time before this happened)? That's a travesty. Her dna was at the scene, big deal. She effing lived there! Of course her dna was there! Meredith's killer is in jail and two innocent people are free. That's wonderful. Good for you amanda! And may meredith's family find peace. Nancy grace, you evil sow, stop doing what you do. You're a terrible human being who has likely booked a one way ticket to hell.

Amanda is a flawed & guilty person. How does a verdict go from guilty to not guilty without pressure from somewhere.Nancy grace is not my favorite person however I agree with her on this. Sounds like the OJ trial,"if the glove doesn't fit you must acquit"
