Melanie Amaro Makes Like Michael Jackson

by at .

Melanie Amaro covered a Michael Jackson classic on The X Factor last night, a track whose title asks a simple question: Will You Be There?

Following another sterling audition, this 18-year old from Sunrise, Florida has certainly made one thing clear: yes, she'll be there. In the next round of the singing competition, that is.

It's still very early, but Amaro has emerged as the favorite through two solo auditions, first wowing the judges with a Beyonce number and here leaving Simon Cowell practically speechless. Watch the talented young singer in action now:

Also impressive last night: Brennin Hunt and Josh Krajcik.

Melanie is a fat cow who is not very original. So HOW MANY MARIAHS DO WE NEED ? SHE SOUNDS LIKE ANY NUMBER OF BLACK WOMEN SINGERS. SO WHAT ??????? Melanie is BORING---BORING---BORING I voted for Chris Rene, and either he or Josh should win.

Melanie Amaro is clearly the winner hands down. If she does not win I am never watching XFactor again. That girl has a voice that makes me cry with joy. She is amazing.

Being a long time X-Factor and American Idol fan I have never been so impressed by a contestant like Melanie, she can take any song and make it her own and at times better: Her "Listen" version was far more inspirational than Beyonce's live version; I'm sure the King of Pop was smiling upstairs with his best inspirational song ever and Whitney should be proud or jealous(or both)that someone can equal her performance of "Nothing". She has Fantasia's stage presence, I see Leona and Agnes, only better because she has Crystal's natural flow while performing and she makes Jordin Sparks look "normal". Is a good thing I watched the show where she was sent home till the end, otherwise, I probably would've never watched the show again (that had to be a planned, nobody of Simon's caliber would make a mistake like that), instead looks like I'll be watching all the way to the Finals.
