The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills Season 2 Premiere Recap: Let the Games Begin

by at . Comments

The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills kicked off season two with quite a predicament on its hands, but in true reality TV fashion, it got over it quickly.

Let's recap the absurdity of it all in THG's +/- review ...

Russell Armstrong, wife of Housewife Taylor, committed suicide earlier this summer amid controversy of abuse allegations, a divorce, and financial troubles.

There was talk of postponing the season. There was talk of a memorial special. Instead we got a five-minute opener of the cast talking about how sad, angry, or guilty they felt and then ... we moved on.

So we start with Minus 25. I'm not saying they had to dwell on it but a man's death seemed to deserve more than five minutes. Maybe it's just me.

But, moving on… If Lisa asked her little dog if it had to go wee wee one more time I thought I might be ill. Minus 5. And what's with the big push to get her daughter married off. She's only 24 for goodness sake. Minus another 5.

To Jason's credit he did the cute, old fashioned thing and asked her dad for permission. Plus 3 for going traditional.

So Camille and Kelsey's divorce was official. She's still in Malibu and he's elsewhere with wife number… what number was that again? Oh, nevermind. The truly sad part is that these two couldn't even communicate about the kids without going through a mediator. Minus 10 for not growing up enough to be civil as parents. The kids deserve better.

Adrienne and Paul… yikes. Talk about a fun marriage. Those two couldn't seem to be in the same room for more than two hours without sniping. She was ticked that he went to play golf instead helping with the party but honestly… Plus 5. Him staying out of her way had to be the most help he could give.

Paul needed Adrienne to pick out his clothes and his cologne and who knows what else. I was annoyed and I don't even live with him.

Please tell me Ken doesn't really think that other dogs are jealous of his dog's clothes. OK, Plus 10 for being completely ridiculous.

I didn't think Lisa could show any more cleavage without simply taking her top off. Plus 5 for going as far as she could possibly go and still wear a something mildly appropriate.

If Ken has any type of a conscious he must feel like a complete ass for his comments about marriage counseling. Asking for help doesn't make you weak. It's a good lesson to learn before it's too late.

Raise Your Glasses

That said I liked Kyle joking about words that can't be used without upsetting somebody. Ken was offended when she used the word offended but the word upset would be OK. Of course Taylor was offended that he implied she was weak and Lisa pointed out that Ken was simply sharing his opinion but was quick to bolt for the door when the opportunity arose.

And just when you thought it couldn't get more awkward, the hosts started fighting. Can't the bickering be put on hold until your guests leave. Minus 7 for making everyone want to run from the room.

Continuing the dinner party from hell theme… I'm a dog lover but I was with Kim. Sharing your Champagne with a dog and then drinking from the same glass was grossing me out. Minus another 5.

So the plastic looking, champagne swilling, mega-heeled housewives are back for another season of melodrama. I just hope I survive the experience. Let the games begin.

Kyle needs to learn the ART of being DRAMATIC without a MEAN SPIRIT.

When Ken was saying other dogs were jealous of his dog, I was wondering how such lunatics can run successful businesses? It is mind boggling.

If the people wouldn't watch this trash it would be over with and done but people are entertained by this trash it will continue and continue and that is a fact.

he's died., and actually she killed him with her greed., i want this and that., the show is a true mess., and stupid., money does it all the time., all the time!

You know how a coupe can work things out? Tell the truth! You are a homosexual in the closet, for which you carry extreme anger towards women, and you perpetuate your income to be more than you have. How could Bravo cast this couple when they rent? Anyone who pays $9000 a month rent and can't buy something surely have financial problems. Plus Kim has no money and isn't even married. But I loved the opener!!

Ken only stated that he would feel weak if he had to go to counseling to save his marriage. Call it what you will but that is his opinion and he is entitled to it. My parents still ive in Europe and their attitude towards counseling is the same as his, keep a stiff upper lip and work out your problems as a couple, right or wrong, they have been married for fifty years.
Kyle should have stayed out of it, she comes acroos as a harpie.
Lisa is right to defend her husband.
Camille still smirks like she one something because she was not involved in the argument.
It is very clear that episode one is geared to make the Vanderpumps the villains this year.

I didn't watch the premier last night because I can't stand Taylor. Did read the recap, though, and see I didn't miss a thing. I won't watch this housewives show any more because I refuse to assault my senses by having to look at Taylor's mouth. Hideous!

I think the the 5 minute tribute to Russell was fitting. He came across sort of villainous last season. Bravo will probably edit out all of his footage as well as anything super negative which may portray him in that way. His lack of footage is going to make Taylor appear more neurotic than she already is.

Yeah like I said before...move on, pay tribute to Russell Armstrong and remember's just a drama show, an english novela, a hoax. If some of you people make it look like it's real, there's something wrong with you. Watching this "The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills" can also be a offense.

As for the what a bunch of nothing. They are riding on Kim's fame which came from her sex tape with brandys brother Ray Rot! No that's class!!!
