The late Stieg Larsson's Trilogy of books that include "The Girl With The Dragon Tattoo" has sales of some 20 million to its credit worldwide. If this first instalment for the big screen hits the $100 million plus mark, then this Trilogy will go places.Daniel Craig has again shown quality and depth in securing a good actor role with much potential. This one may just have enough to land him the Oscar. Go for it!

    Best Wishes,

I have seen the Swedish Version of this movie and it is so fantastic, I don't see how this can match it. I have read the series and will probably go see this to compare it. My advice is the rent/view the Swedish version of this is incredible and exactly how I pictured
    Mikael and Lisbeth.

I'm sorry. I must have missed something. If anything, I thought that Daniel Craig was possibly too old for the part. But I'll take in in whatever they place him in. And Lisbeth looks absolutely perfect. What a great Christmas present to look forward to.

I agree Daniel Craig isn't old enough to be playing the part of Michael...even all other concerns of mine aside about the Hollywood version of these films. Stellan Skarsgaard would be MUCH closer to the character. Anyway, I won't be watching these so guess it doesn't matter.

I loved these books, recommended them to everyone and am sad that hollywood might ruin my perception of them - tho I must admit to being a big Daniel Craig fan. However having seen the english version of the Danish ' The Killing' am feeling wary - they ruined it.

The books are of course, fantastic, the earlier movies also fantastic. I would suggest if you haven't read the book and nor seen the earlier movie do so before you see this one... From what I can tell the Lizbeth character in this one isn't quite fitting with the book and the original movie. And tho I love Daniel Craig, I don't think he is old enough for the character he is playing and that was an important point...the age difference between the 2 main characters.
I will prob wait to rent this version.

The issue I have with the American made version of these films is the motivation for doing, period. Stieg Larsson wrote these books for only one reason, to help fund his efforts to bring justice to his country and other parts of the world as well. He worked tirelessly for this passion his entire life. He sadly died before he could see the phenomenal success of his books and resulting rewards. However, Hollywood's ears perk up quickly when they smell money and I think it is sad. You do not remake a great work of art, especially one with such pristine reasons of creation. I love Stieg's books and the movies, I own them and have watched them many times and I can tell you that Lisbeth Salander would HATE the hype and sexualization of Hollywood's making. Why can't Hollywood come up with their own ideas, they are remaking so many cult faves now...shame on them. They should've left this girl alone.

I think Noomie Rapace plays a way hotter character. But I still think I would like to see this one :)

I am so freakin stoked for this! Everything just make me more the way, the music is fantastic. Trent and Adicus..done it again!

Just finished this book. Its one of the best mysteries ive read. I will def be seeing this movie when it comes out!
