by at . Comments

The 2011 Primetime Emmy Awards kept things modern Sunday night.

It was a good sign how the evening would turn out when the first two trophies of the event, live from L.A.'s Nokia Theatre, went to TV spouses Julie Bowen and Ty Burrell for their outstanding supporting roles on Modern Family.

The ABC comedy went on to take home awards for directing and writing as well, before being named Outstanding Comedy at the end of the broadcast.

Ty Burrell, Julie Bowen

Who votes for these programs that win the emmys? Every program that won are shows that I never watch. I have watched "The Good Wife" a couple of times when there is nothing else on, but don't even watch it on a regular basis. Just wondered.
