Movie Review: Ryan Gosling in the Driver's Seat

by at . Comments

You could sum up Drive in four words: Ryan Gosling owns it.

Although he says next to nothing in the first 20 minutes of the film, opening this weekend, Gosling’s impact is immense - the true hallmark of an A-list star.

Gosling plays Driver, a movie stunt driver who moonlights as a getaway driver for anyone who will hire him, with intensity that makes this a must-see.

With a great lead, cinematography and supporting roles (you can include L.A. itself in that category), Drive is so much more more than meets the eye.

Ryan Gosling Doted on Eva Mendes So She Could Keep Pregnancy Secret?

Ryan Gosling and Eva Mendes went to great lengths to keep her pregnancy a secret. This included having Ryan run all the necessary errands in the past few months.

I am honestly stunned at how dumb this movie was. The effects were horrible. The storyline kept me so un attentive. I will not only never reccomend this to a friend. But i will never forget how boring it was. A person is honestly better off sitting at home watching paint dry, it will be more exciting than this movie was. I hope this doesnt hurt ryans career, but it could be a career ender if too many people see it!

THIS FILM SUCKS!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Best movie I've seen in awhile. Gripping from the opening scene. Not another puffy cgi throw back to some cartoon from the 80's.

I love him as an actor.. his use to protect this woman makes it more interesting ... the end blah.. but the movie overall was good, I love this men and he did a great job...

Hey, Emily,
Do you have any taste in art, composition or film? This movie was stellar. The pacing, the acting, the use of violence and the cinematography mark this as strong film. What's your definition of good and what are you comparing bad to? This is one of the first original films I have seen all year, with all the remakes etc. that have been coming out it was refreshing to see a movie where the main actor and the director put time and thought into each sequence, shot and moment.

To say this nicely, this was the worst movie I have EVER seen in my life. It has been 2 hours since my friend and i left the theatre and we are STILL anfry about how we just wasted even 7 dollars!! I'm so sad that you made Ryan take part in your AWFUL movie. It truely was the worst movie I have ever seen.
