Chaz Bono Dancing With the Stars Debut: Light on Talent, Heavy on Personality (Video)
As Dancing With the Stars' first transgendered contestant, Chaz Bono has been the subject of remarkably hateful criticism by certain viewers and groups.
Chaz's debut on Monday's Dancing With the Stars premiere wasn't notable for his cha cha skills - dude's not exactly light on his feet - but for his charisma.
His 17 points actually beat four other people, too, including NBA star Metta World Peace. Watch Chaz and Lacey Schwimmer earn a standing ovation:
Not only did Chaz Bono look like he was having the time of his life, he seemed confident, despite all the controversy and virtually no dance experience.
Those factors, boosted by sufficiently low expectations for the dance itself, garnered him widespread praise from the judges, even crotchety Len.
"You really came out with the right attitude. You came out to enjoy yourself, and that's what I felt you did. You're so joyous out here," Goodman said.
"Great debut, Chaz. You should be proud." Indeed.

Chaz, you did a GREAT Job!!! I applaud your efforts and spirit. I felt that the name calling was VERY IMMATURE! I thought that your performance of "Phantom of the Opera" was FANTASTIC. And I see that some of the peeps commenting here are just NEGATIVE! STAY POSITIVE

I think Chaz did an AWESOME job on DWTS!!! the world would definitely be a better place if this world wasnt so judgemental...like who gives a rats' a** abt wats n between his legs?? get over already.....damn.

My post is in regard to Chaz' appearance on DWTS. Chaz is definitely one of the least talented of the competitors this season; I doubt that anyone who is being objective will deny that. What I object to is someone, such as Elizabetta, being ousted over Chaz. She was definitely a far better dancer than Chaz is. What a shame that she had to leave and Chaz stayed simply because of his
celebrity as a transgender and the widespread support he obviously is getting from that community in regard to the voting! But it's not the first time something like this has happened on DWTS nor will it be the last.

Chaz, I think you are doing a great job on DWS! I too suffer from knee pain ( due to arthritis and coupled with being overweight. You know, I could not do any kind of exercise, cause it really hurt my knees and I was always in pain. I live in Rosarito BC , Mexico and came across a natural supplement "Rumufan-Plus. The 1st time I took a Rumufan-Plus I felt immediate relief. I have continued taking these supplements and I can't tell you how much relief and without pain I have experienced. Unfortunately, these supplements can only be found in MX. but perhaps you can find them online. Check it out. Can't hurt...any more. Keep up the good work and continue to have fun with DWS!

I WAS HESITANT TO WATCH THIS CLIP OF CHAZ BUT CAME AWAY WITH TEARS IN MY EYES. HE DID FANTASTIC!!! I SMILED THE WHOLE ROUTINE!! I REMEMBER THAT SAD LOOKING LITTLE GIRL...BUT THE MAN I SAW DANCING WAS HAVING A GREAT TIME, LOOKED REALLY HAPPY AND DID A DAMN FINE JOB DESPITE HIS AGE AND SIZE!!! IN FACT THAT JUST MAKES IT ALL THE MORE IMPRESSIVE TO ME. I HOPE AMERICA VOTES TO KEEP HIM ON...I DON'T USUALLY WATCH DWTS... BUT I WILL BE VOTING FOR THE FIRST TIME IN THE HOPES OF SEEING IT HAPPEN. AS THE MOTHER OF FIVE KIDS I PRAY ALL MY CHILDREN HAVE THE COURAGE TO FOLLOW THEY'RE OWN HEARTS DESPITE THE HATERS..GOOD LUCK CHAZ!!!

CHAZ IS A WONDERFUL PERSON...DOES IT REALLY MATTER IF WE ARE MALE OR FEMALE OR WHAT WE WERE OR WHAT WE ARE???? IN MY LIFETIME I WILL NEVER MEET CHAZ OR GET A LETTER OR WILL CHAZ KNOW I EXIST. TO ME HE IS THE MOST WARM,GIVING MAN THAT I AM PROUD TO KNOW , EVEN IF IT IS JUST FROM T.V........ GO FOR THE GUSTO...........LOL

I don't know what's more enjoyable watching, Chaz Bono on Dancing With The Stars or watching a Boeing 747 racing down the runway.
