Chaz Bono and Ellen DeGeneres Decry Bullies; Cher Lashes Out at DWTS Haters Again
by Free Britney at .Chaz Bono stopped by the Ellen DeGeneres Show today to chat about competing on the new season of Dancing With the Stars, and the hurdles he's faced.
While he knew that, as the show's first transgendered star, some people would have a problem with him, he never expected the backlash to be this bad.
After he explained what it felt like to be in his shoes, Ellen was less diplomatic in pointing out the ridiculousness of those (cough, Dr. Keith Ablow) who are anti-Chaz:
Later in the interview, they received a phone call from his biggest fan - mother Cher, who didn't hesitate to lash out, like she has before, at the haters.
"If you got that excess time and that amount of hostility, I'm not sure I can say anything to you that would make you change your feelings," she said.
"I don't know that I would have any magic words to soothe you, to comfort you into not being terrified of my child on Dancing With the F--cking Stars."
How awesome is Cher?
She did admit that she's worried about one thing: Chaz's dance moves. "You doing this dance is about as scary as you making 'the change,'" she says.

Ellen is right about the bullying thing. Until we -- supposedly adults -- stop picking at other people who are different, be it race, ethnicity, belief, or gender preference...we can't expect any better from our children. It's time to stop the cycle of hate! And hate in the name of ANY religion is still hate! I can't understand how people of God feel it's their right to judge others of that God's creation. It's an insult to God who loves ALL of His creations...no matter how we people feel. It's a good thing He's in charge and not us because there would be no one left on this planet at all!
Chastity is not a child. And Cher has a lot of nerve, going after people for the very thing that caused her to kick Chastity out of her home, way back when.
What did Chaz ever do to you personally that makes you hate him? Let him be, turn off the TV or flip the channel. No one forced you to watch him dance. Good God Almighty, you bigot, close-minded, judgemental, hateful people are the worst kind. And you call yourself Christians? ~~~ SHIVERS~~~~~
