Taylor Armstrong Releases Statement, "Devastated" Over Suicide of Husband
For the first time since her husband, Russell, took his own life, Real Housewives of Beverly Hills star Taylor Armstrong has issued a statement. Released through her rep, it reads:
"Taylor Armstrong is devastated by the tragic events that have unfolded. She requests privacy at this time so that she may comfort her young daughter," five-year old Kennedy, who sources say has not yet been told about her father.
Taylor also sends her"thoughts and prayers" to Russell’s 11- and 13-year-old sons from previous relationships.
The 47-year old was found dead in the home of a friend last night, his body discovered in the bathroom, with no suicide note to be found. He had recently been in the news because Taylor filed for divorce last month, citing physical and emotional abuse.

My sympathy goes out to the little girl most of all. I hope that Shana Hughes decides to be her real self now, and no longer exploits people in order to obtain her "Taylor Ford Armstrong" fantasy life. Shana Hughes, you have my sympathy.

I can't help but think that Russell Armstrong's decision to take his own life had lots to do with the pressure of looking uber successful as a participant in the show. Learning that he was in the throws of serious money problems and negative allegations by investors, it all had to be too much.
I can only remember that ridiculous birthday party for 4 or 5 year old Kennedy that is said to have cost 5 figures!! I mean, c'mon, Taylor - you couldn't afford it. Really bad behavior.
You now remind me of Theresa ( NJ); prettier, better grammer, less curse words) but that same crapola- trying to swim in the big pond when you really can't afford to be there. And then you make plans to leave him - his personality was certainly not like Taylor's, she being super outgoing and he reclusive. And there certainly appeared to be control issues. In the end he felt worthless and she was riding high - too big a pill for him to swallow- might have felt that he couldn't find his way out of it all, espe

I would like to convey to Taylor, no one deserves to go through a suicide. It must have been hell to discover Russell's body. I know they were going through a divorce, but they did love each other at one time. Once again, my thoughts are with Taylor and her family at this difficult time.
