Rebecca Black: Yanked Out of School Due to "Friday" Harassment

Turns out, Fridays are actually less exciting for Rebecca Black than most kids her age. The reason? She no longer attends regular school.

The singer admitted to ABC News in a new interview that she gets tutored at home because students started giving her a really hard time after her first single launched.

"When I walk by they'll start singing 'Friday' in a really nasally voice," Black says. "Or, you know, they'll be like, 'Oh hey, Rebecca, guess what day it is?'"

Wow. Kids can be so cruel, can't they?

At least Rebecca has made some new friends over the last few weeks, as well. Among them: Lady Gaga and Katy Perry.

    i just think its ridiculous that people would mistreat her over one song. she's not offending anybody in the song and she's not pointing anybody out. and i also think its ridiculous that people cant learn to respect teenagers when they do things like making a music video.

    I think the only reason why they bully her is because: 1. The song she chose to sing is quite ridiculous. 2. She auto-tuned her voice. If she didn't do those 2 things and made her own song or chose a better song, I doubt she'd be teased. She honestly has a wonderful voice. She shouldn't auto-tune it, her voice alone is amazing.

    REbecca is head and shoulders over these nasty kids,,and they are just having a fit over it,,jealousy rears it's ugly head,,it is really a shame that those teens cannot appreciate someone else's success,,,maybe if they would use that negative energy in a good way they could accomplish something worthwhile,,just shows what kind of human beings they are growing into,,not good,,
