Paula Deen to Anthony Bourdain: Get a Life, Uncharitable Snob!

by at . Comments

In what may have been a slight exaggeration, Anthony Bourdain referred to celebrity chef Paula Deen this was as the worst, most dangerous person in America.

What does Deen have to say about the No Reservations host in response?

“Anthony Bourdain needs to get a life," she told The New York Post. "You don’t have to like my food, or Rachael’s, Sandra’s and Guy’s. But it’s another thing to attack our character. I wake up every morning happy for where I am in life. It’s not all about the cooking, but the fact that I can contribute by using my influence to help people all over the country. In the last two years, my partners and I have fed more than 10 million hungry people by bringing meat to food banks.”

Deen added that Bourdain has contributed nothing to society, aside from "being irritable."

Fighting words, folks! Choose a side in this feud:

I like Anthony's show. I love Paula in Elizabethtown. Maybe he was hungry, angry, lonely and tired! No one bashes another to build themselves up. No one, especially the one bashed. That's bad behavior on both parts.

Anthony Bourdain has carved out a niche for himself as a food adventurer, and for those fans who enjoy seeing the weird and wonderful food culture of far-flung locales, he is the go-to; but his is NOT a cooking show and for him to climb on a high horse & criticize those that ARE puts him in the silly position of comparing 'apples to oranges' and - it seems - one very large sour grape! Stay in your own lane, Bourdain!

Hey you all! What is the big deal. It is called freedom of speech in the USA! Lighten up, it's just entertainment! From beginning to end.

Have you ever tried cooking with her recipes? The food never turns out good, and, yes, I can cook. I totally quit trying to fix her stuff. And I am sooooooo sick of that Y'ALL ! I know it works for her as she is filthy rich, but come on. What Anthony Bourdain said is pretty head-on and funny. And it was totally dumb of him to say! Just so unpolitically correct. He should know better. But who cares? He doesn't. Maybe he was needing a cigarette. I know he wants one all the time, as his much younger wife made him give up that pleasure. Anyway, all I'm sayin'..... I love, love, love butter.....but I am sooooo sick of Paula. Ick.

Way to go Paula. Anthony is a snob from the north. He's a typical pri-k where it's required. Stay southern. Love your delicious food.

Paula is so phony to watch it's comical. Her food is so fattening and she supports the factory farms rather than locally grown. Anthony at least works in the real world and was successful enough as a chef to be recognized and to travel. Bye bye Paula :)

Saw old Anthony on TV one time, wearing jeans and Mexican Drug Runner cowboy boots eating snake in some out the way oriental country. As Lawrence Welk would say, "Wonnerfull"! Paula gave a recipe for cooking cabbage one time that is my favorite. I'll eat cabbage any day before snake!
