Demi Lovato Responds to Moronic Twitter Followers, Defends Appearance

Seriously, some people suck.

Just a few months after she was released from a stint in rehab, largely due to an eating disorder, Demi Lovato walked the red carpet of the 2011 MTV Video Music Awards, as seen here:

She looked great at the event, right? Not according to some idiotic Twitter followers.

Actually faced with criticism over her appearance, Lovato was forced to defend herself via the following message:  "Guess what, I'm healthy and happy, and if you're hating on my weight you obviously aren't. :) #UNBROKEN."

Very well said, Demi. The singer specifically called out a loser with the handle "Listen2Leesh," putting this pathetic individual in her place with two simple words. Read the brief exchange here:

    Demi should not of said "im happy and healthy.If ur hating on me because if my weigt, obvously ur not :)" because that could make some people feel bad!!!!!And if she is happy and healthy, why does she still talk about her weight!?!

    Demi you looked amazing dont let some person knock you down or should I say try cause the reality of it is this person has an eating problem and dont have the strength like you did to fix it. Again demi you look great

    Demi, I only know you by name and face. I have never gotten to see any of your work only because I am a busy mom of two young boys and dont get to see much TV at all but I did hear about some people trying to put you down and I just had to say somthing about it. You are NOTHING but BEAUTIFUL and I truly mean that! Girls all over the world would die to look like you including myself. And not only are you BEAUTIFUL but talented and some people who are unhappy with themelves and their lives fuel on bringing people like you down. God made you you, and you are PERFECT! :)
