Used to think Levine was attractive, but these pics and his dopey statements have destroyed that illusion.

As many above have already posted, Lambert was never told to deny he was gay and his subsequent actions during Idol bear that out. Levine simply doesn't know what he's talking about (just as on the Voice he screws up other people's music - some reviewer said, "buy that guy a radio.")

Where is Adam Levine's outrage over the two judges on "The Voice" Blake Shelton and Cee Lo Green who were recently called out for making Homophobic remarks! Why isn't he calling them out if he is so gay friendly? Between Blake and Green and his own perceived slam at Adam Lambert earlier in the season, he doesn't need to look any further than his own show. And where is Christina? Why doesn't she say anything about any of these Aholes?

I think there should be a "DISLIKE" button at the top of the page for times when the article is NOT to your liking. This one for instance is taken way out of context by Adam Levine & OUT mag. I think they should go back over ADAM LAMBERT's interviews & TV Specials & get it RIGHT before they MISquote him. Don't like this article AT ALL but ANYTHING about him (ADAM LAMBERT) draws my attention ... he is so OPEN & HONEST!! OUT mag editor should try EMULATING him!!

Honestly it sounds to me like Levine has some axe to grind against Adam Lambert... Lambert never hid his sexuality and it was out there the whole time he was on Idol - hard to miss watching Adam Lambert perform. I always respected that Lambert is proud of who he is and never tried to hide it at all and has a killer voice too. What's with this Levine dude???

Anyone who checked out Adam Lambert's Facebook page would have no question about his sexuality. He plainly stated he preferred men. In addition, there were numerous pictures out there of him dressed bizarely and tongue kissing other guys. It was never a question of him being gay or not. It's ridiculous.

"What’s always pi**ed me off about American Idol is wanting to mask it, for it to go unspoken,” says Levine. “C’mon. You can’t be publicly gay? At this point?"

How is anyone to believe Adam Levine's comment above when earlier in the year during The Voice when a contestant sang 'Whatya Want From Me' he stated that he didn't know who Adam Lambert was or that he sang that song. Had he even watched AI prior to this year?

Yeah, Adam, C’mon. Can't you be public (about being) gay? At this point?

Levine misunderstood Adam Lambert. When the pictures of Adam kissing a man spread across the Internet, Adam has said that American Idol told him it was his call on how he wanted to address them. Adam told a reporter that he had nothing to hide and that it was a singing contest when asked about the pictures. What Adam meant on "Behind the Music" was that during the competition the contestants are not allowed to give interviews. Adam could have said that he was gay but Adam wanted to elaborate in his own words so he waited until the show was over and told his story to Rolling Stone. This issue is being misrepresented by "Out". Why are they not concerned that most people think that Adam lost on American Idol because he is gay when it was AT&T assisted cheating in Arkansas that American idol ignored?
