Dancing with the Stars to Cast Actual Stars?
Dancing with the Stars producers are reportedly on the hunt for more big-name talent and looking to cut down on the D-list dancers of the past.
Sorry, Dina Lohan.
Producers are under direct orders from ABC find "higher profile" people than in past seasons, which have been overrun by the likes of Bristol Palin, The Situation, Kate Gosselin, Audrina Patridge, Jake Pavelka and so on.
Sitch apparently isn't cutting it with ABC bigwigs.
In order to lock down bigger names, producers are offering A-listers complete control over their rehearsal schedule and routines - no minimum practice times, final say over music selections and even costume design, etc.
Whether this move is designed to lure in any big-name star in particular, or whether it will actually work for DWTS, remains to be seen.

Totally agree. Audrina shouldn't have been lumped into the "D-List" group with the Snituation, Bristol Palin, Kate Gosselin, and the other reality show fools. Audrina is actually an actress, and has talent, and was on The Hills which was not a lame reality show.

I agree with Jenny. Audrina Patridge was fabulous on DWTS and doesn't deserve to be on any negative list. She was incredible! She had just finished the long running hit, The Hills. She was at the peak of her glamour and style, and she danced well with Tony Dovolani. I looked forward to seeing her each week!

I thought Audrina Patridge was perfect on DWTS! She was enjoying a peak of popularity after wrapping up The Hills, she looked better than ever, danced well with Tony, and I really looked forward to seeing her on the show. She shouldn't be listed in this undesireable group. I think it's sad what she did after the show when she drastically flattened herself. But on the show she was a gorgeous asset!
