Scotty McCreery Makes History!
The impressive start to Scotty McCreery's career has now reached historic proportions.
The new American Idol champion's first single, "I Love You This Big," is now the highest-charting debut for a new country artist in 20 years.
The track shot to number-one on iTunes and number-three on Billboard's Digital Songs chart; while his compilation CD peaked at number-three on the country chart.
In response, Scotty - who will head to Nashville next week and start recording his first album - released the following statement:
"I am humbled and shocked by this news. I can't tell you what it means to me to be on the same charts as my musical heroes. I want to thank my fans and especially country radio for their support.
"I continue to be amazed by everything that has happened to me in such a short time.
"This is such a special song to me, so I am thrilled that it is getting such a great reception at country radio. What I love about 'I Love You This Big' is that it can mean different things to different people. It could be about the relationship between a couple in love or a parent and child."

This song is one of the best songs that I have erver heard. I am from N.Malaysia too. I luv this song. I keep humming the tune all day long. It's about relationship and that is the best part of it. Twist the 1st verse around, I can sing to my children too. Go Scotty go, I love you this BIG/Bigger/Biggest.

Scotty is the best American Idol ever! Stop saying that he won coz of teenage girls! I'm 42, frm across the world( Malaysia) ... only bought once country album that was The Gambler by Kenny Rogers...This kid had brought new love for country music around the world!... His voice is a gift, personality A++Waiting 4 his debut album anxiously....Go Scotty, go!

Remember when just about a week ago Oprah commented that the energy you put out is the energy that comes back to you. Scotty is a true case in point. Couldn't happen to a nicer guy. Likewise, let's examine the energy of Edwards, Schwarzenegger, Mildred "bang him " Baener and Mother from Hell Casey Anthony, to name a few.
